Apna Ghar is a centre run by and for minority ethnic women residing in a deprived area of South Tyneside. The centre provides vocational and non-vocational classes i.e. IT, English for beginners. Make services more accessible to the senior citizen members of the community with luncheon clubs, health awareness sessions. It also provides activities for the youth community.

Northern Hope, Birtley, Gateshead provides gymnastic training for children and adults of all ages. We hold competitions and displays, which includes all types of gymnasts at different levels. We also travel and attend competitions at different venues throughout the country, we have gymnasts who have competed at NDP and school finals.

St George's Church is active in its local community providing for & supporting all who contact us regardless of faith through practical support, counselling, faith based activities and services of worship. Our activities include, but are not limited to, bereavement support, one to one counselling, lunch club, drop ins and community groups, youth & children's work, food bank, community cafe & more

To pursue the objects of the charity with all the resources available to the charity.

We run Learning Hubs, Youth Clubs and Summer Programmes in less affluent areas of Tyne and Wear to tackle educational inequality. We offer access to the internet, learning resources, a tutor and extra-curricular activities in a safe environment. Our motto is Young People Learning from Each Other. Our peer tutors, befrienders, summer school and club leaders are all trained young volunteers.

The charity currently collects donations and is letting out its properties to enable it to distribute funds in accordance with its objects.

To provide educational, leisure and social activities for children and young people regardless of sex, sexual orientation, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or disability in the area of felling and surrounding wards, in order to improve their health, educational attainment and general well being.

We aim to help communities, especially those most marginalised and disadvantaged, influence health and social care planning and delivery to more accurately reflect local needs and aspirations.

The charity provides activities for those with special educational needs and/or other disabilities.

Provision of meeting facilities to member and non member groups who's activities encompass all types of recreational, educational and wellbeing pursuits. This includes all racial groups and sectors without prejudice.

We provide care and education for children aged 3-4 years old, delivered by paid staff and volunteers. The setting has increased it's hours and offers flexible full day care. As a result the number of children has increased significantly, as well as the number of sessions they attend. This has resulted in a huge increase in income allowing us to make huge improvements to our setting.

Our mission is to bring different communities together and create a harmonious and inclusive society. Through our programs and services, we strive to foster social cohesion, break down barriers, and build bridges between communities.

The Vocational Learning Trust has built a vocational learning centre called The Work Place. VOLT is responsible for ensuring the building is used for the aims and objectives of the Trust and also has a remit to raise funds for educational purposes.

Educational, religious

Advocating, raising awareness and educating the public, statutory and non- statutory agencies about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people. This includes staging an annual LGBT festival and smaller events, including regular social events for the LGBT community and allies in a safe environment throughout the year.

Promoting the black and minority ethnic voluntary and community sector for the benefit of the people of Sunderland, and the North East, and promoting the effective use of charitable resources by the black and minority ethnic VCS. The Network worked on the Communities, Action, Reflection and Change progamme of the FCDL and leading the Communities Living Sustainably partnership bid.

The objects of the Company are to preserve, operate and exhibit for the public benefit for educational and instructional purposes, and to encourage interest in, all kinds of railway transportation systems, structures, vehicles and equipment and engineering facilities and to foster and support railway preservation and workshops.

We provide activities to benefit the residents of Dunston and the surrounding areas, and with a particular emphasis on supporting young people and, in particular but not limited to, those facing complex challenges such as leaving care, homelessness, addictions or offending behaviours
