MERCY IN ACTION WORKS IN THE PHILIPPINES IN CEBU AND MINDANAO AMONGST THE POOREST OF THE POOR. WE CURRENTLY SEND AROUND 400 CHILDREN TO SCHOOL AND COLLEGE & RUN 3 CHILDREN'S HOMES. WE HAVE FEEDING PROGRAMMES AND A DROP IN CENTRE FOR STREET CHILDREN, BUILD HOMES FOR DESTITUTE FAMILIES AND PROVIDE GRANTS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES. 'FEEDING THE HUNGRY TODAY; EQUIPPING THEM FOR TOMORROW'.

UWE Students' Union exists to advance the education of students at the University of the West of England by promoting the interests and welfare of students during their course of study and representing, supporting and advising students. Also by providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of students.

The Orchard Trust aims to improve the quality of life of people with a learning disability and those who care for them by the provision of flexible high-quality services. These include Supported Living, residential homes, residential short breaks, day care activities and domiciliary care services. The Trust is also an independent training provider, registered with City & Guilds.

Specialist Palliative and Supportive Care

The charity provides a caring and well rounded education to children aged between 3 & 11, ensuring an awareness of others & promoting citizenship. Cheltenham YMCA is a Christian Charity, working to make a positive difference in the community. The main focus is young people but the YMCA also provides services and facilities for the wider community. Accommodation for 200 people, a fitness programme and affordable community sports facilities and youth work are examples of current work.

Horsfall House is a home in Minchinhampton supporting the local elderly population. We provide residential care, including for those with dementia, care within the home and access to a day centre. While many residents pay the full cost of care, the charity subsidises care for the less well off ensuring they can stay within the community and makes capital investments to benefit all users.

Gloucestershire Training Group Ltd provides engineering apprenticeships to young people and adhoc training to graduates and adults.

The objects of the Charity are for the public benefit, to advance education by: the provision of land and buildings and funding to Pate's Grammar School; operating The Richard Pate School; and promoting the education of current or ex-pupils of both schools (e.g.scholarships, bursaries, grants). Remainng funds may be applied to relieving poverty by grants to Pate House Charity (almshouse charity).

Let's Talk Well provides free, confidential counselling & emotional wellbeing support for children & young people aged 9 - 25, helping them build resilience and improve their mental health& life outcomes. We strengthen the future counselling workforce through our accredited training programme, supporting students from the start of their training through to becoming fully qualified counsellors.

The Cheltenham and Tewksbury Children & Family Centres offer information and activities to support families and children ages 0-5. This support can help develop a families overall well-being. Specific activities include: breastfeeding support, baby and toddler activities, healthy eating advice, high quality nursery education, access to adult training and employment information.

The Friends of Westonbirt Arboretum operates the membership scheme for Westonbirt, the National Arboretum in Gloucestershire. It aims to further public enjoyment and knowledge of this world renowned tree collection and to secure its sustainable future through engaging and informing visitors and members and by giving financial and practical support for the management and development of the site.
