The object of Gloucester Music Society shall be to promote high class Chamber Music Concerts, in order to foster the public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public performance.

Relief for members of the Showmen's Guild in need

The income of the Foundation is used in promoting education to persons under the age of 25 who live in the Gloucestershire parishes of Long Newnton, Shipton Moyne, Ashley, Westonbirt with Lasborough, Didmarton and Tetbury Upton. Income from the Wiltshire fund is used for children in need of financial assistance in the parishes of Brokenborough, Easton Grey and Sherston.

The Charity gives grants to pupils from Farmor's Secondary School and Fairford Primary School as well as to the schools themselves.

The award of grants for educational purchases to persons aged under 25 who are resident or educated in the Borough of Cheltenham

Maintaining and utilising the Sapperton Village Hall for the benefit of the community. (Grade II Listed building)

Up keep of the churches in DursleySt Mark's, Woodmancote and St James the Great

Supports C of E primary School, childrens' activities in Church. Grant to students receiving further ecucation under the age of 25yrs

Provides for the maintenance and repair of the fabric and expense of the Parish Church of St Lawrence and the maintenance of the services of the said church and the furniture thereof. Provides grants towards the education of young people under the age of 25 years who are bona fida resident in the Ancient Ecclesiastical Parish of Mickleton

Enhance the education of the children at the school.

Provide financial support and personnel to North Cerney School to improve the school experience for the children

The friends are parents of children at Hillesley School who carry out fund raising activities to raise money for use by the school. The funds are used for purchasing large items of equipment, contributing towards school activities e.g. swimming bus and pantomine etc

CHURCH BASED ACTIVITIES

In accordance with the terms of the Foundation Deed dated 17th November 1855, the Trustees meet annually to distribute the income received from the Trust Funds by way of appropriate grants to churches within the present and ancient Diocese of Gloucester.
