Pensioners Activities

The Foundation activities are to provide supportive funding to: (i) People who wish to train in the field of midwifery and health visiting (ii) People who (and projects which) promote and advance the issues prevalent throughout the post-natal care period. This support will be focussed in the North Wales area.

Religious activities within the Diocese of St.Asaph.

Distributing gift vouchers at Christmastime to elderly inhabitants (over 70 yrs.) of the town of Penrhyndeudraeth and the village of Minffordd which are redeemable at three retail shops in the town (butcher, newsagent and one grocery store). The vouchers are valued at approx.?4.50 on to which the retailers add a further 50p. About 100 vouchers are distributed annually.

The Club meets regularly twice a month, with either Guest Speakers or the members enjoying a game of Bingo. We alsoarrange two Coach Trips for them each year, and they enjoy a meal out at Christmastime. The Club is a lifeline for someof our members who are between eighty and ninety and who live alone and who enjoy some company and an afternoonout of the house.

Our Eisteddfod if now for young people under 19 years of age and has so far been a great success.

Grants to individuals

Elderly/Old People , Playschool

To carry on or promote the carrying on for the benefit of the community the provision and management of housing, accommodation and assistance for the relief and care of elderly persons suffering from the disabilities of old age or otherwise being in need.

The activities of the Charitable Trust are to make grants and donations to individuals, groups, community associations, local or national charities in Denbigh, St Asaph, Llandudno, Ruthin, Tattenhall, Menai Bridge and in the surrounding areas of North Wales and Cheshire. Particular emphasis is made on local communities and grassroots benefit.

Provide Grants or items to relieve poverty or ill health to those individuals residing in the parishes listed below. Grants will also be provided to charities or organisations working to alleviate poverty or ill health in the parishes listed belowThe charity only serves the Parishes of Talsarnau, Llandecwyn, Llan Ffestiniog,Trawsfynydd and Bronaber and Maentwrog in the county of Gwynedd

Gives small grants to former pupils of Aberdovey, Pennal and Tywyn Primary Schools aged 16 years or over, going on to further education or apprenticeship.

We provide funds for the continued enhancement of the surrounding national park study centre, Plas Tany Bwlch, and for research into local environmental projects.

Provides opportunities for young people,local schools and the people in the local community to engage in outdoor activities from this base. It is used as a base for schemes such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions.

Benefit of any student of the Pwllheli School who is deserving of assistance on the ground of commendable academic attainment and/or in need of financial assistance to further his/her education or advancement.
