Charities In Gwynedd

The charity promotes widespread perfomances of the art form of jazz and organizes educational events which aim to increase public appreciation of the art form and to enable musicians to develop their full potential. In addition, it provides an advice service for bodies wishing to present jazz events and for the general public.

Thre charity provides a facility for the use of the community of the Villagers of Abererch and the surrounding area.

Grants to young people under 25 years of age who are residents in the Parish of Llanbedr and who have attended a school maintained by the Council (with preference for those who are pupils or former pupils of Ysgol Ardudwy) to attend an approved place of learning, to study music or art, or to provide financial assistance to prepare for or to assist their entry into a profession, trade or calling.

Relief for poor of parish

fundraising to support the work of the H.M.Stanley eye unit St.Asaph. includes coffee mornings ,raffles, bike rides. The charity has recently donated -ú1500 towards an item of specialist equipment matched by another local charity to provide full purchase price

To aid beneficiaries at a University or other institution of Further Education, to travel to pursue their education, to provide financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, etc., to prepare for or to enter a profession, trade or calling.

Awards grants

Promote and maintain the welsh culture and public awareness in the arts.

The Club meets regularly twice a month, with either Guest Speakers or the members enjoying a game of Bingo. We alsoarrange two Coach Trips for them each year, and they enjoy a meal out at Christmastime. The Club is a lifeline for someof our members who are between eighty and ninety and who live alone and who enjoy some company and an afternoonout of the house.

We are a small, locally based charity, which is heavily inclined to rural crafts and practice within the community. We offer education and knowledge within the arts, culture, the environment, conservation and community heritage within Holy Island.

Charity receives applications from senior citizens for financial help in the Llanystumdwy ward. Applicants respond to an advert which are discussed by the trustees and vouchers to buy groceries are issued before Christmas and during 2014/2015 two vouchers of -?50.00p were issued.

No activities following sale of meeting place known as The Caban. In process of closing charity and transferring funds to a similar charity with similar activities in the local community.

The care of all who give their time as vergers and other volunteers within the Church of England.
