Public ground for sport and recreation within the City of St Albans

Leaside Under Fives Kindergarten is a committee led non-profit making pre-school, which was founded in 1994 to provide excellent Early Years education. We are able to accommodate 38 children per session, aged from two and a half to five years old. The Kindergarten runs during school term times and is open five days a week.

We promote community participation in a range of activities including healthy exercise and recreation and Christian fellowship. We hold regular community meals to encourage the preparation of healthy food and the social benefits of eating with a wide range of individuals.

CanalAbility provides affordable day trips on the inland waterways of Essex, and Hertfordshire for disabled and disadvantaged individuals and organisations. Their two purpose-built boats provide facilities for all users and enable them to participate fully in the operation of the boat. The charity is also an accredited training provider.

St Luke's offers a variety of services each week and at other times during the year to meet the needs of the church and the wider community. Regular all age services attract those less comfortable with more formal services. A mid-week liturgical service draws increased numbers. A rural Pre-school and nursery providing Early Years Foundation Stage Education for children 2 1/2 years to school age who live in Knebworth Parish and the surrounding area. Our income from the LEA is topped up by the payment of fees for those children not in receipt of LEA funding and the overall shortfall in funding is supplemented by fundraising events organised by the Management Committee.

We are a small community run preschool, established in 1978, situated in a beautiful rural village.Our pre-school offers care and education for children aged 2 years to rising 5, and are registered to care for 19 children per session.With experienced qualified staff we offer a fun and stimulating environment for the children to learn through play.

The charity has developed a holiday centre in the Algarve Portugal in order to provide holidays for children and adults with disabilities and also for their carers. The building is specially adapted to a very high standard and has all facilities needed even for those seriously disabled. There is also an education centre and outside there is a swimming pool and a petting zoo for children.
