FUNDS TO PROVIDE BENEFITS FOR ELDERLY PERSONS RESIDING IN THE PARISH

Our Charity activities include providing various activities to promote development for our members such as specialised speech & language therapy, drama, music & signing sessions. We also have regular social events to help promote self esteem & social inclusion. We support families & aim to provide information to both parents/carers & professionals.

To advance the education of the pupils of Manland Primary School in Harpenden by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, recreational and other charitable facilities or resources not required to be provided or financed by the Local Education Authority or the Department for Education.

To assist including by raising funds in the conservation and development of the buildings, fixtures, fittings, contents and churchyard of St Mary's Church Standon. To assist in the maintenance of the churchyard and to encourage and support all that is done to add to the beauty and usefulness of the church. To meet these objects to raise funds by events and donations.

To advance the Christian Religion in the United Kingdom for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures producing and/or distributing literature on Christianity to enlighten others about the religion, The relief of financial hardship either generally or individually of people, living in the United Kingdom by making Grants for providing or paying of items and services

Raising money for preserving the structure and fabric of the church

Management of a village hall for community use.

THE OBJECT OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION AT THE SCHOOL (NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY)

The specific aims of 'BIHCAH' are: providing relief for former Bosnian refugees and their dependants in Herts. Preserving and protecting their physical and mental health. Advancing their education, training, employment and integration into British society and local community. Promoting Bosnian culture, language and heritage; linking and co-operating with local organisations and authorities.

Hemel Hempstead Lions operates in the area of Hemel Hempstead and its surrounding area. It makes grants and donations to local community projects including youth, the elderly and those with special needs and deserving individuals and organisations. Hemel Hempstead Lions also make donations to Lions International projects.

At present MEER AID UK is maily supporting MEER AID in Kashmir to run a Food Aid Programme and has supported few other charities to help victims of natural disasters

Our main purpose is to advance the Christian faith through the teachings of the Bible and preaching the gospel. We hold Bible talks, family sessions, praise meetings, Bible study groups and Sunday School at our hall, plus monthly talks at Watford Central Library. We make a regular dispatch of literature on Bible topics, free of charge. We provide spiritual and pastoral care to our members.

Charity runs fund raising events such as discos and seasonal fairs to raise money for the school. Also provides help and assistance to the school in the form of volunteers for many activities such as helping with sports day and ad hoc projects.

Providing horse riding and carriage driving activities for disabled children and adults

A social club for adults of working age with physical disabilities living in St Albans District (which includes Harpenden and London Colney). The club offers social contact and community involvement plus a wide range of creative or recreational activities, of useful or interesting topics covered by speakers, and of trips in its own minibus.

Raising awareness of classic symptoms to help self diagnosis and increase prompt GP referrals to KD specialists through leaflets, our website, creative campaigns & events.Work on collecting updated research files and share on our website providing an easy access parent hand guide and distribute updates to Hospitals, GPs & schools,

Repair and maintenance of 4 Almshouses in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, which are occupied under licence by people in need and/or on a low income, and as and when necessary finding suitable occupiers.

Amateur theatre

Support the curriculum at Little Green School by raising funds and providing grants for equipment and activities

The Friends of Thomas Coram exists to raise money to benefit all the children who attend the Thomas Coram School.

We have fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Care by holding coffee mornings. The charity collect clothing and food for the homeless. Youth programs and activities take place.
