Scouting Isle of Wight

Cowes Heritage and Community Group offers residents of Cowes and surrounding area a space to share their interests and knowledge, providing craft, art, history and discussion groups. We hold displays and exhibitions about local heritage, as well as a social space, coffee mornings and tourist advice.

Provision for facilities for locals & local groups. Poetry Group. Alverstone Natural History. Dance classes. Pilates.

To promote particulary for the young and the elderly, an improved and safer quality of life through education and the prevention of crime.

We will make grants which serve to advance STEM education to educational establishments whose pupils are aged 7 to 19 years and reside in the South of England. This includes any academy which is part of Wessex Technical Education Trust. We will also make grants to young people enrolled in such establishments. The grant making process is expected to commence during the academic year 25/26

To preserve and enhance the environment of Bembridge Harbour and its surrounds for the benefit of the communities of Bembridge and St Helens and users of Bembridge Harbour

Educational grants to students resident in Ancient Parish of Godshill

To provide and help to maintain homes for people with learning disabilities resident on the Isle of Wight, and to make financial grants to the residents or other people with learning disabilities at the discretion of the Trustees.

The Institute hosts various artistic, cultural, social and sporting family based events. It also provides premises for the use of local residents.

We organise social activities to generate funds for equipment or facilites which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Sporting Opportunities Isle of Wight is an independent sports charity offering training and competition opportunities to athletes with learning disabilities on the island. We work closely with Special Olympics Great Britain and access local, regional and national competition opportunities through our affiliation with them.

The W.I. is a National Organisation and we are one of approx.36 Institutes on the Isle of Wight. We have a few fundraising activites a year, some for Charity and some to top up our own funds.

We own and maintain St. Margarets Community Hall and make it available to any club, organisation or member of the public who wishes to hire it for any activity or private function.

To Promote The Christian Gospel By Using A Bus At Different Locations On The Isle of Wight.We Also Attend Local Shows.We Continue To Do Free Face Painting For Children At the Local Summer Shows.We Give Away Free LiteratureWe Endeavour To Support And Help Practically With Those In Need.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by such other ways as the company though its director and trustees shall determine from time to time.Additional activities added to widen objects.

To grant pensions to spinsters and widowed ladies of not less than 40 years of age as the Trustees select for this purpose and to assist such poor girls who are preparing for, entering or engaged in any trade, occupation or profession by the provision of tools, books, payment of fees, travelling expenses or such other means which will fit them to earn their own living or advance them in life

Supporting Portsmouth & S/E Hampshire's local (BME) Black & Minority Ethnic Communities. Activities include:Information Hub. Support for BME community groupsSignposting. AdviceAssisting local service providers to meet the needs of BME communities.

We operate on the Isle of Wight, providing sanctuary to rescued wild birds requiring long term care.

General Charitable purposes

Primary School to teach pupils Ages 4 - 11 years of age in a Church of England Aided School

Provide grants for course fees and expenses. They consist of training in Ophthalmic out patient practical skills and decision making for Junior doctors, nursing, orthoptists and technical staff. The organisation also provides travel expenses and fees for speakers to attend local Ophthalmic nurse training on the Isle of Wight and will support local Ophthalmic research projects.

To advance the study, understanding and enjoyment of the archaeology and history on and around the Isle of Wight, including education of the terrestrial and marine environments; and to advance the conservation of archaeological sites, monuments and material in both the terrestrial and marine environments of the Isle of Wight.

In accordance with the terms of the Trust , the available income is paid for benefit of the local Church. The Trustees are satisfied that these purposes remain charitable and for the public benefit, being the advancement of religion.The Trustees have complied with the duty in Section 4 of the Charity Act 2006 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.
