Disability Action in Islington (DAII) is an organisation run by and for disabled people. Provides free information, advice, user-involvement and peer support services for local disabled people, and a range of training and consultancy services to the voluntary, statutory and business sectors. All DAII projects and services are based on the social model of disability.

At Islington Foodbank, we provide emergency food for individuals and families in crisis that lasts up to 3 days. We partner with local agencies and charities to assess clients with specific needs in order to issue food vouchers. Once the assessment is complete, our partners can issue a voucher to a client up to 3 vouchers in 6 months as a guideline.

The Spitz Charitable Trust aims to relieve isolation in local communities through the power of live music. The charity works with professional musicians to engage older people in care homes and residential housing through participatory music sessions, and also link them with young people to create a positive impact on the lives of everyone involved.

The principal purpose of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. The Church may also advance education and carry out other charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and/or other parts of the world.

We provide coaching and development to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them find employment and build their confidence and sense of self worth. We run the Spear Programme for up to 90 young people aged 16-24 each year. The programme comprises 6 weeks of training followed by a year of support. 75% of our young people are in work or further training 12 months after the course.

The charity works to promote equality for LGBTQ people in Camden and Islington by:- hosting social groups and events which celebrate LGBTQ life in the boroughs- supporting victims of homophobic and transphobic hate crime- offering training and consultancy on LGBTQ equality to local businesses, voluntary and statutory organisations- providing volunteering opportunities for LGBTQ people

We are an inclusive theatre company for young people in Islington. We give access to the transformative power of participation in the performing arts, irrespective of ability or income. We enable greater inclusion for those likely to be otherwise excluded: those with disabilities, mental health issues, or disadvantaged backgrounds. We do this through workshops, performances and community outreach.

In addition to our own Sunday activities we support our congregation with regular bible study, prayer groups and training activities. For children we have Sunday Club, a playgroup and support for a number of out of school activities. we strongly support our local schools, care homes and our community in many different ways. We host a winter night shelter for the homeless with other local churches.

To remove financial, social and cultural barriers that prevent people from participating in the arts by teaching art, dance and music in carefully set levels of classes and courses and a through a comprehensive exhibition programme that embraces all forms of the visual arts.

The charity runs a weekly foodbank in the London Borough of Islington which is open to all residents of of Islington and the surrounding area without the need for referral. Because we are set up to ensure that people with financial difficulties do not go hungry we do not require a referral. Fresh and staple food, essential toiletries and household items are given to individuals and families.

St James' is a parish church within the Church of England offering worship in the modern Anglican Catholic tradition. It holds Sunday and weekday services, runs a Sunday School and provides pastoral care to parishioners in need. The church and church hall are available to local community and support groups. Specific local and overseas charities are sponsored through fundraising.

LEGS provides physiotherapist led rehabilitation in a supportive and enjoyable group environment for people who have had a stroke or live with a neurological condition. LEGS is a UK registered charity consisting of a course of weekly group exercise and discussion sessions. Classes take place in private exercise studios and online.
