Parent/teacher association providing fundraising for the Netherton Infant & Nursery School

We are a group of parents, carers and friends of Kaye's First and Nursery School, who run the school's PTA. We aim to hold 4 annual events (2 discos and 2 seasonal fairs), within school grounds. Additionally, we organise occasional fundraising competitions, book fairs, Christmas card sales and movie nights. We have a donatemyschool.com account to collect monthly and one-off donations.

Promotes the study of foreign languages by young people resident within a 5 mile radius of Dewsbury Town Hall. Grants are awarded to enable young persons to travel abroad, to attend courses at educational establishments in the UK or abroad and to assist young persons with any other proposals which promote the study of foreign languages.

To provide maintenance, support, relief and advancement for the benefit of the widows or widowers, children and depenendants of members of the armed forces for the District of Spenborough

Welfare of serving and ex-serving Air Force people and their dependants

FAIRS IN SCHOOL, SOCIAL EVENTS, CHRISTMAS CARDS

Provide small donations (--ú200) to smaller charities in the North of England and sometimes further afield world wide disasters. The RNLI and Action Medical Research receive larger donations in excess of --ú1,000.

Relief of sickness & distress for kidney patients - especially those receiving/having received treatment for kidney disease at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - includes support provision, advice & information to families/carers of such patientsEducating the public concerning kidney diseases & their treatments- particularly promoting donation of organs for transplantationPromoting research

We fundraise for our school. We have 3 big annual events, A Christmas fayre, A Summer Fayre and a Sponsored Event. We also run various other fundraising events in a year e.g. Pamper Nights, Race Nights and Discos. We supply refreshments for various school events as well as providing water bottles every year to the pupils and Leavers Gifts to Y6.

Dewsbury Young Diabetics aims to support families whose lives have been touched by the illness. We organise regular meetings and information sessions and arrange activities to allow children and their families to learn about how to manage their illness and to have fun we also organise family away days and fun activities.

Providing the sound and spectacle of the Pipes and Drums at community and charity events in and around Leeds.Providing free tuition for both pipes and drums.

We aim promote and advance the education of the public in the theory and practice of astronomy and related subjects, by encouraging the public interest in astronomy and/or circulating current astronomical information and/ or furthering the education and knowledge of the general public and of members, by providing facilities for the active promotion of and participation in observational astronomy.
