THIS SOCIETY ENJOYS MONTHLY MEETINGS FROM SEPTEMBER TO THE FOLLOWING APRIL, WHICH ARE ADDRESSED BY GUEST SPEAKERS TALKING ON A SPECIFIC TOPIC OF LOCAL INTEREST FROM AN HISTORICAL POINT OF VIEW. WE ALSO ARRANGE DAY EXCURSIONS TO PLACES OF INTEREST IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.

Provision of social activities for the elderly.

The charity makes grants to needy cases & charitable activities amongst the Jewish community at the discretion of the trustees.

Cash donations to support those in need within the parish of Bolton -le-Sands.

Receive donations, make donations to churches (venues of meetings) and issue regular newsletter to members.

InterVol support student volunteering groups at six universities: Birmingham, Nottingham, Lancaster, Oxford Brookes, SOAS, and Imperial College London. Our projects work with both local and overseas partners on a range of charitable projects including education and refugee services. Volunteers gain skills and training while small grants are provided to our partners through fund-raising.

The help offered by the charity may be practical, emotional or educational in nature but will endeavour to support children in the extreme circumstances they may find themselves.

The Barbara Anne English Literature Memorial Prize Trust (the Trust) exists to advance the study of English Literature through supporting students of Nelson and Colne College, principally by awarding prizes. The Trust was established to recognise the skills and achievements of students in English Literature.
