General Charitable PurposesRelief of Poverty

Assist current and former members of the Royal Air Force and their families by means of the Wing Appeal, grants and direct assistance.

The PTFA was set up to raise funds for additional resources to enhance the educational experiences of deaf pupils at the school. Although Royal Cross is based in Preston, pupils come from all over Lancashire and neighbouring authorities. Charity activities include fundraising for a new minibus, signed theatre performances, subsidised family outings and workshops, fun days and social events.

To provide grants to various charitable institutions, in particular educational establishments and charities involved in the relief of poverty.

HAWTHORNE PARK TRUST EXISTS TO DEVELOP AND OVERSEE A PARK WITHIN THE BUILT UP AREA OF THORNTON. ONCE AN ILL DRAINED FIELD, THE TRUST IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHERS HAS CREATED A COMMUNITY PARK AND WILDLIFE AREA FOR ALL RESIDENTS WITH PATHS, LIGHTING, SEATS AND FACILITIES BOTH FOR CHILDREN'S PLAY AND OLDER TEENAGERS. THE TRUST HOLDS A 50 YEAR LEASE.

The preservation and maintenance of "Hearts of Oak", a historic sailing boat, and to advance the education of the general public in the local history of Ulverston and its surrounding coastal area.

Current Activities includes Christmas and Summer Fairs, Firework Display, Raffle Ticket Sales and Bond Sales to raise money for the local village primary school

The Friends provide assistance to Tawd Vale Scout Camp and apply for grants to buy equipment for them etc.

To raise money for various worthy causes

Volunteer led toddler group for people in and around the village of Goosnargh

Our principal object is to support and promote the Judges' Lodgings Museum in Lancaster for the benefit of the public
