We provide housing & support services to enable people with a learning disability and or additional support needs including mental health and the deaf, to live in and manage their own accommodation in the local community. We put the needs of the person at the heart of all we do and provide services tailored to individuals' needs.

The principal aim of the charity is the furtherance of the Roman Catholic religion within the geographical boundaries of the Diocese of Lancaster. This includes but not limited to pastoral support for clergy and parishioners, educational support, relief of poverty and maintenance of the property of the charity.

Supporting children and adults with disabilities

The Charity operates independent schools in the borough of Oldham for children between the ages of 3 and 19. The schools operate in a co-educational structure with a Nursery & Infant department (ages 3-7), Junior School (ages 7-11) , Senior School (ages 11-16) and a Sixth Form ages 16-19).

St Catherine's maintains a hospice and provides specialist palliative care services to cater for the needs of patients and their carers. The Hospice benefits people from the areas of Chorley,Longridge,Preston and South Ribble.

Property management of housing and the provision of care and support needs (within some regulated services with the CQC) for the over 55s.

Advance the education of children and young people by the provision of a school or schools conducted in accordance with the principles of the Christian faith in or near Kirkham and Treales in the County of Lancashire and by ancillary or incidental educational activities and other associated activities for the benefit of the community.

To promote the conservation of nature for purposes of study and research and to educate the public in the understanding and appreciation of nature, the awareness of its value and the need for conservation

In June 2013 the charity became a member of the Together Housing Group and amended its objects as follows to reflect this new position in the North of England:1. Conservation of the natural environment 2. Urban and rural regeneration 3. Provision of Recreation and Leisure with the aim of improving conditions of life 4. Advance the life chances of young people 5. Advance education and training.

Grant making

Care HA provide accommodation to individuals requiring support to live as independently as possible within the community. We partner with Care Providers and Local Authorities to ensure the accommodation is suitable, sustainable and of a high standard.

To work with disadvantaged and under privelaged children and young people, their families and communities, to improve their life chances.

To provide hospice care and support for children and young people with palliative care needs including support for the whole family. This includes; specialist respite including symptom management, hospice at home, end of life care and bereavement support after death. This care and support is provided in partnership with individual children's local health, social and education professionals.

To relieve the charitable need of people with disabilities, ill health or in necessitous circumstances by the provision of support services to enable them to live in the community. The advancement of education, training and the relief of unemployment of people who are unemployed, low paid, low skilled or have no skills.

The trust provides the use of religious buildings to the Orthodox Jewish community. It also collects funds which are distributed to Jewish religious organisations and to the needy in the Jewish Community, and runs a charity voucher schemeIt also provides services which ensure that all foods supplied to the Jewish Community are certified as Kosher and fit for consumption by the Jewish Community.

Provision of palliative Care Services for people with life limiting illnesses.

The charity delivers training to meet national skills strategies for employers and learners covering Apprenticeship programmes across a number of skill sectors (including engineering, automotive, construction, business administration and dental health) and Study Programmes (including a Military Preparation Programme) and other programmes designed to increase employability skills.

To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the public principally but not exclusively in the local government area of Salford and its environs (area of benefit). And in particular, build the capacity of third sector organisations and provide them with the necessary support, information and services to enable them to pursue or contribute to any charitable purpose.
