Provision of palliative Care

The public benefit to advance the education and relieve the suffering of people (particularly children) with physical disabilities and life-reducing conditions and to provide information, advice and guidance for their families and carers, in particular by means of education, conductive education, rehabilitation and the provision of facilities for participation in sport and other recreation.

Inspira empowers young people and adults to reach their potential in life, work and society. We do this by providing practical support, advice, guidance and action planning, work related experiences, personal development programmes, personal support and increased engagement in the community. We operate predominantly in the North West and North East of England.

The charity provides for the local community and visitors to Hyndburn: sport and recreation facilities; classes, courses and events; bookable facilities for clubs, groups and voluntary organisations; information centre and programme of concerts and events.

It also collects funds which are distributed to Jewish religious organisations and to the needy in the Jewish Community, and runs a charity voucher schemeIt also provides services which ensure that all foods supplied to the Jewish Community are certified as Kosher and fit for consumption by the Jewish Community.

We aim to make a positive difference to the lives of all older people in Lancashire, to make later life a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience. We provide effective services to meet locally identified needs; develop and promote well-being initiatives to help people lead healthy, active lives; ensure older people are fully informed so that they have choice and control to live independantly.

To preserve, restore and operate the railway lines, together with such lands and buildings adjacent thereto in Greater Manchester and Lancashire and in particular the East Lancashire Railway line, for the advancement of technical, historical and general education and for the permanent preservation, of steam and other railway locomotives, rolling stock, road vehicles, equipment and relics.

We provide palliative care for the people of Burnley & Pendle (and Rossendale for inpatient facilities) suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. We also provide support for their relatives and carers. We do this primarily with our 10 bed inpatient unit, our day service and outpatient facility and our Hospice at Home team who look after patients in their own homes.

To provide the relief of sickness and the preservation of good health of young people who use legal and illegal drugs, by the provision of counselling, support and treatment services for such persons and their families. To advance research into the use of drugs and disseminate the results in the areas of Bury, Rochdale and East Lancashire.

The provision of counselling and support to relieve mental, emotional and physical problems encountered by people living in today's society.

Caring Connections is a registered charity which specialises in providing a range of projects and services aiming to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable groups across the Liverpool city region. The organisation is registered with CQC to deliver targeted home care services to adults with care needs within the local community.

We are part of a national movement of community foundations that undertakes strategic social investment, including grant-making, facilitates community philanthropy and contributes to achieving positive social change in communities.

Runs a hospice in Thornton near Liverpool to care for terminally-ill people and raises money to support and sustain it.

PROVISION OF HOUSING AND SUPPORT FOR SINGLE HOMELESS CLIENTS, AND A RANGE OF DAY SERVICES.

The Charity was formed to promote and provide a 12 Step and non 12 step Abstinence Programme for those who have suffered from addiction problems relating to alcohol and/or drug misuse. The Charity provides various stages of treatment, ie Reduction & Motivation Programme (RAMP) , Day Care, residential, reintegration programmes, Family Programmes, back to work & Post Treatment Recovery Support

Provide specialist palliative and supportive care for the residents of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley. We aim to enhance the quality of life for people who have a life limiting illness and their families. Access to our facilities is free, whether in the hospice, the community or in their own home. Lancashire Women's Centres offer support in a non-judgemental, confidential and safe environment. Services include complex casework, mental health interventions, money, benefit and debt advice, training, mentoring and volunteering opportunities. We are open to all women but have specific focus on those with mental health needs and those with an offending history. We have 5 bases in Lancashire.
