Share Skipton aims to create a more sustainable, sharing Skipton by setting up and running a library of things, repair cafes and other initiatives promoting sharing and a circular economy. A library of things enables people to borrow useful items at low cost, which helps reduce consumption, waste, use of resources, and CO2.

The charity runs a social club once a week in one centre. The members are taken on outings and holidays and there are special Christmas activities. We will also respond to enquiries about funding equipment which supports blind or partially sighted individuals, or take up cases where there is discrimination against the blind.

To work for the public benefit in creating environmental awareness and in stimulation and encouraging an understanding of and active involvement in the protection, conservation, and practical improvement of features of general and public amenity or historical interest within the landscape,and in doing so provides grants to assist in the process.

The principal activity of the charity is to provide grants to assist overseas students at higher education institutions, studying in the Diocese of Liverpool.

We serve the communities of Lancashire, working on issues of education, employment, health, crime and antisocial behaviour, media, quality assurance, young people and families. Producing artistic works (writing, theatre, audio) by emerging creatives from the North West of England, supported by workshops and professional development programmes. The principal thematic focus is the intersection between arts and ecology, and making work that responds to a time of ecological emergency. The organisation produces work in forms and places to reach non-self-selecting audiences.
