To preserve and enhance the Storey Gardens for the benefit of the community

Making donations for the benefit of persons living within the Society's operating region (Cumbria, Dumfriesshire, Preston, Lancaster, Haltwhistle). To make a relatively large number of small donations across the whole of the operating region, with a view to reaching local community groups, where often small donations of funds can have significant impacts.

A community facility including building and land for use by (but not limited to) the residents of scarisbrick and surrounding areas, uses of the hall include the holding of meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life. Use of the hall is offered without distinction of political, religious or other opinions.

The charity aims to advance public appreciation of brass band music and the playing of brass instruments by providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to make music together and to perform at concerts, contests and other musical events.

Kisa Family Development project advances the education of children and young adults in rural Uganda in order to break the cycle of poverty through access to affordable, good quality, local education; relieves and prevents poverty by providing access to skills training, financial literacy, community co-operatives and enterprise projects; relieves sickness and supports those with disabilities.

Our group promotes and preserves the tradition of brass band music combined with encouraging the development of youngsters both as musicians and good citizens. The band caters for children between the ages of 8-20, and currently has approx 85 members.

Our activities are linked to our charitable purpose of alleviating poverty and unemployment through focusing on three key areas of need;1) Training in relevant employment and job search skills 2) Training in enterprise development skills 3) Personal coaching and mentoring on areas that enable people to live fulfilled and healthy lives. a4) Other community support activities

The advancement of the Christian Gospel of salvation by the grace of God through Christ Jesus through its proclamation.Also, the advancement of education by teaching; the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability and financial hardship and the advancement of community development.

THE FOSTERING AND PROMOTING OF THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE APPRECIATION OF MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY MEANS OF PUBLIC PERFORMANCES THE EDUCATION TRAINING IMPROVING AND GENERALLY FOSTERING AND PROMOTING THE INTEREST OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL AND YOUNG PERSONS IN PARTICULAR IN THE PLAYING OF BAND INSTRUMENTS AND PROVIDING A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE WITH THAT INTEREST IN MUSIC CAN MEET.

Promote and support any exclusively charitable purposes or objects in the United Kingdom or any other part of the world as the Trustees in their discretion think fit. The settlor had expressed a wish that the Trustees shall have regard to charitable causes and objects in the North West of England. A number of specific Charities receive grants each year

provide housing accommodation for needy persons

We provide football coaching for able bodied, disabled and disadvantaged children aged 3.5 to 16, girls only, BAME girls only, disabled adults over 16 years and refugee/asylum seekers adults and children. We provide opportunities for young people and adults to obtain FA coaching qualifications.

Provision of music education by concerts, contests and rehearsal.

The Trustees welcome requests for Grants from registered charities operating in North Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The Charity owns the Galloway Hall which can be used for any purpose to benefit the Senior Citizens in the Fulwood area of Preston, although not exclusively.

To encourage choral singing in a four part choir. To provide concerts for the enjoyment of all.

Educational need for the local Muslim community and further understanding the public at large of the muslim principles.Tackling issues from further a field and raising funds for natural disasters and war torn countries all over the world

The Charity operates in the Lancashire and Sefton area.

The objective of As-Salaam Centre is to engage in providing education, training and services; including but not limited to religious, spritiual, social and health for the Stretford and Trafford Community specifically and a broader national and international community in times of need - working with UK based charities.

THE PURPOSE OF SCOUTING IS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN ACHIEVING THEIR FULL PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL POTENTIALS, AS INDIVIDUALS, AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AND AS MEMBERS OF THEIR LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.

As outlined in its constitution Part 1 section 3) the charity holds weekly public meetings; an open day to raise money for the Meal-a-Day charity; meets members of the public at the local market and distributes a newsletters to the area explaining the work and beliefs of the charity. It also holds meetings and events for its own members and the wider Christadelphian Community.
