The rescue and rehabilitation of injured swans, cygnets and other animals, by providing a rescue, hospital and treatment facilities. To also further educate the public on how to reduce suffering to such animals.

We organise educational, cultural and welfare related activities and services to benefit the residents of Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding areas in Lancashire with a particular focus on the Chinese community, Chinese arts and culture.

Provision of recreational play and learning activities and other leisure facilities for children and young people including those with special and additional needs, both cognitive and physical, especially from the deprived areas of Burnley and district.

To advance the education of the public by promoting research in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, in the field of medicine, the results of such research being disseminated for the benefit of the public in the area of benefit. To assist or promote any charitable organisation or charitable purpose in the area of benefit.

Scouting and Helping in the community.

The aims of the group are To advance the protection and conservation of bats, their roosts, feeding areas, hibernacula and surrounding environment in South Lancashire and neighbouring counties.To educate the public and the group's members in all matters related to bats, including the production of literature and dissemination of the useful results of research data

To support Asian voluntary, community, faith and young groups as a Development Agency for BAME communities resident in Burnley. 5. To provide general advice sign-post customers to specialist agencies.

The principal activity of the charity is to provide grants to assist overseas students at higher education institutions, studying in the Diocese of Liverpool.

A community based Choral Society which rehearses and performs a varied repertoire of classical and modern choral music. All singers are welcome. On occasion, we work with other musical organisations in the area, such as Settle Orchestra, Skipton Music Centre, RNCM soloists, Settle Voices and Settle Operatic Society to perform concerts.

The charity is a place of Christian Worship. We hold regular Sunday Services and Weddings, Christenings & Funeral Services. We welcome the community to worship services and community events we run. We care for and maintain an impressive Victorian Grade 2* Listed Chapel and associated Sunday School building, which are open to the community for internal inspection and appropriate secular activities.

Advance the education of pupils on the school, through developing effective relationships between staff, parents and also the engaging in activities or providing facilities/equipment which supports the school and advances the education of the pupils. This is achieved through various fundraising activities throughout the year and also of the holding of social events for the pupils.

Scout Group of about 60 boys and girls, all scouting activities and camping. Fund-raising through sponsored events, bonfire and firework display.

The principal activity of the Charity is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for playing football for the benefit of the inhabitants of Walmer Bridge, Longton, Preston and South Ribble.

The Arkholme PTFA works to support the school and its children, not only by raising funds for equipment and travel costs, but by encouraging a collaborative and fun relationship between staff, parents, governors, the Arkholme community and, of course, the children themselves.

Maahadus Shuhada Trust is a worship place. It aims to foster an awareness within the community about their surroundings and society in an environment that is both conductive to their learning and moral welfare. The institute aims to install within its community with a sense of citizenship and prosperity for human welfare, value, plurailty and multiculturalism within society.

The trust was originally set up in 1873 to provide education for the children of the poor of the parish of St Stephen in the Banks.

The objectives of the society shall be to advance the education of the public by the encouragement of interest in dramatic art. The Club produces five plays a season between September and May and is a mixture of theatrical genres.

The charity's fundraising aim is to raise money to benefit and advance the education of the pupils within the school.

Provide Additions For The Harris Reference Library and Museum

Provides activities and training in connection with the scouting movement and in compliance with the governing document. Provides premises and equpment to enhance activities. Facilitates scout, cub and beaver sections.

The Charity awards small pensions and grants, on a discretionary basis, to elderly people living in the Merseyside region who are in need, hardship or distress.

Activities currently taking place at the village hall are:- nursery, table tennis club, song circle, dance, yoga, Pilates, Little Folk, Brownies, social events, parties. Committees and parish council meetings, Post Office
