The orchestra provides classical music education and fulfilment for amateur musicians and audiences through the vehicle of playing, and performing concerts in the Burnley area.

Singing, Concerts and Shows

We undertake fundraising activities with all proceeds being utilised in projects which benefit Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School

The performance of choral music in churches, concert halls and other suitable venues for the benefit, education and entertainment of all people, and to raise funds for chosen charities.

We organise social activities to raise funds for the school. The events typically include the Summer Fair, Community Cinema, Teddy Bears Picnic, Garden Fun Run, Beetle Drive and a Family Bingo.

Creating Community Circles to support people

The Mid Pennine Search and Rescue Organisation (MPSRO) serves as a representative body for the five independent Mountain Rescue teams in the Mid Pennine Region, namely; Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team, Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team and Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.

All activities connected with Girlguiding UK. Training for leaders, meetings, activities for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Adults. Camps and holidays. Shop supplying books, badges and publications necessary for leaders to run units as well as uniform for all sections, issued by Girlguiding UK.

Training the group in all aspects of being a majorette so all members can perform in public at fetes and carnivals, compete individually and as a group in competitions and take twirling badges.

The Lancaster Church of the Nazarene promotes the following activities,Sunday Morning Services 10.45am Special Church Services, celebrations and events to mark key occasions in the Christian calendar eg: Christmas, Easter, Weddings and Funerals.Mid week coffee morning.Rent out the building and facilities to other Christian organisations.

To aid and assist those in food poverty whoever or wherever that may be in mainland UK

We are the PTFA of a Primary School that raise funds to support costs to enhance the pupils learning, curriculum activites and resources. We do this for example by subsidising costs for families, resources for outdoor learning, ipads, visitors etc. We raise these funds by holding events throughout the year during school day or evenings and all these events are held on the school premises.

The provision of financial assistance for people with diseases of the chest and lung and to children with disabilities and other special needs living within the administrative district covered by Lancaster City Council.

We provide a community hall and tennis court for the Civil Parish of Tunstall which comprises the villages of Tunstall, Cantsfield and Burrow. People from adjacent areas use the facility.

Training young people in service and citizenship in the traditions of The Royal Navy.

The choir is open to ladies over the age of sixteen regardless of culture. The choir participates in festivals throughout the country promoting choral activities to a wide audience. The choir also gives concerts throughout the year to the benefit of many local churches and charities including a local school for children with special needs.

The advancement of the education of the students of Bishop Rawstorne C of E Academy and the local and business community through the development of the academy, including the provision of facilities and educational items.

Rotary Club collects money by public collections and functions and redistributes to local and international charities
