The Trust has been set up to improve facilities and services for seriously ill children and their families in local hospitals to make their stay more pleasant and conducive to family needs.Fund raising events are held throughout the year to enable the Trust to raise a surplus of funds to be used to facilitate the improvement in quality of family rooms and bereavement services in local hospitals.

Lancaster Footlights is a thriving amateur drama group which is based at Lancaster Grand Theatre. They first started performing in the 1920's and purchased the Grand in 1950 to save it from demolition. Over the years the theatre has been progressively restored and it is now regularly used by many community groups and a wide range of professional acts.

Scouting Association

The club is for any one who is aged between 10 and 26 years of age . You do not need to be a Farmer or come from a Farming background to enjoy the varied activities of the Club such as Go Karting, Quiz Nights, Stock Judging and Snow Tubing to name a few. Meetings are held on Monday nights at 7.30pm at either Barley Village Hall or in the surrounding Pendle Area.

The Hall provides facilities for the Village of Westhead near Ormskirk and surrounding areas. At present there are numerous activities. i.e. Craft, Sewing & knitting groups, Beavers, GCSE tuition in English & Maths,Private parties, Midstream Pop-Up Cafe, Ukulele Group, Learning Stars, St James CE Social Group (CAMEO), Sunday Morning Baby & Toddler Group and Lotus of Peace Spiritualist Group.

The advancement of the Christian faith in East Manchester and other areas by the provision of financial support for the advancement of the Christian faith whether by St. Clement?s Church Openshaw or otherwise, including the financing, support and/or facilitation of evangelism, teaching, public worship, pastoral care and mutual encouragement and support to those in need, hardship or distress.

This charity is used solely for the benefit of Newchurch St Nicholas C.E. Primary School, its children, its equipment, its buildings and its welfare.

The objective of the Stanah School PTFA is to raise funds for the school in order to advance the education of pupils at the school. We aim to achieve this through: developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school; and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

To encourage the development of young people in Stalybridge and Tameside to achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, so that they can take a constructive place in society as responsible citizens, achieved by providing an enjoyable scheme of progressive training based on the scout association vision Skills for Life guided by adult leadership.

Promote, maintain,improve and advance the education of the public in the appreciation of the visual arts, in particular but without the generality of the foregoing by provision of lectures, workshops and exhibitions.
