The Lecture Society provides a series of ten lectures from October through to March. The lectures have a wide variety of content and style. They provide interest and education to the biggest cross section possible in the Cumbria Lancashire area.

The Charity provides grants towards the purchase of equipment and services for local individuals and organisations unable to obtain assistance from any other source. It will also work with other charitable organisations to raise funds or make donations to worthy causes or individuals.Each is assessed on its individual merit. The Charity also supports the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

To promote for the benefit of the public generally and especially those who live in or visit the town of Lytham by providing and encouraging the provision of floral displays, statury, street furniture and the planting of flowering shrubs visible to the public.

The principal object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Statements of Faith and Practice of the Independent Methodist Connexion? THe charity may also carry out on her charitable purposes in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world

Scorton Village Hall is used by the people of Scorton in Lancashire for community activities such as youth club, toddler group, WI, keep fit, dancing classes, parish council, church groups and by the local school. It is also hired out for parties, fundraising, events and fairs.

The Peter Scott Gallery Charitable Trust was established by a Declaration of Trust dated 8th November 2001, for the (A) Preservation, protection and improvement for the Public Benefit of all Paintings, prints,works of art, ceramics owned by, associated with or displaced in the Peter Scott Gallery of the University of Lancaster.

We provide a series of lectures given by speakers from October to May each season, open to both members and the public at large, together with displays at local venues throughout the year. Several members carry out their own research into local history and family history, give lectures on their findings, and publish their research.

Provides a safe environment to teach children between the ages of 10 and 18 about the Royal Navy, discipline, seamanship, engineering, sailing, rowing, and many other skills.

Provides financial assistance for single men and women over the age of 50 who have lived in Lancaster for at least three years.

Over the year we have raised the profile of world music, in both the rural areas of North and South Craven (Skipton and Settle) as well as the urban conurbations of Leeds and Bradford, through concerts in Settle Victoria Hall, The Delius Centre in Bradford and Seven arts in Leeds, as well as playing at Village Fetes and Community Centres.

Assist in the maintenance of the buildings, repair and improvement of Brennand's Endowed School, Slaidburn. Management of endowment funds. Appoint 3 governors to governing body of school.

To educate the public in the appreciation of the arts of Brass Band music by the presentation of public concerts and by other such ways as the Band through its committee shall determine from time to time.

Children and adult fundraising events.

This is a scout group with Squirrels, Beaver, Cub and Scout sections for children aged 4 to 14. Each group meets weekly to carry out a variety of planned activities. Occasional trips in the locality and to activity centres are organised including overnight camps for the older children and the option to join national and international scouting events.

To provide an income to be used for the benefit of poor and deserving persons aged 50 years or over who have resided within the parish to Caton with Littledale Lancashire for at least five years

We are a chamber choir formed in 1980, based in Chorley, Lancashire. We are established performers of a wide repertoire of music ranging from the Renaissance classics of William Byrd and his contemporaries to the lighter styles of modern popular and folk song arrangements. The emphasis is on unaccompanied singing, but all styles are within the choir's capabilities.

Groups that use the centre, old time dancing, gateway club, keep-fit, active living, messey monsters, physibodies, jujitsu, ballet, street dance, mums & tots, lins-holiday club, first aid, aerobics, baby massage, eyff training.

Double ?R? Arts works with young people across South Ribble aged 7 years and above. It?s main aims are to develop the performing arts skills, confidence and interpersonal skills of all those involved, empowering young people to become positive and believe in their own abilities in a safe environment. Develop their skills, grow in confidence & meet new people.

The objects of the Society shall be to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public choral concerts; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies, or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable, as the Committee may from time to time decide.

The Emma Cosgrove Foundation provides relief for teenagers and young people suffering from cancer themselves or distressed by having a family member or friend with cancer by the provision of support, assistance or positive experiences to aid relief.

To advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by: Developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school. Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Apply funds raised by the Rotary Club of Leyland and its members or otherwise donated to the club's trust accounts, to/for the relief of the disadvantaged locally, nationaly & internationally or for such other charitable bodies as the club shall from time to time direct.

Longton Women,s Institute is organisation for women to promote education,health and community spirit. It encouages links with the local community.
