The Friends of the Harris exists to support the work of the Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Library through fundraising. In recent years we have funded a range of projects, including purchases, conservation, exhibitions, community-focussed work and a capital development.

To raise funds for the upkeep of Out Rawcliffe village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Out Rawcliffe & neighbourhood.

The running and maintenance of the Dolphinholme Village Hall to provide a service for the local community.

Provides yearly outing/party for the pensioners.

The aim of Milnthorpe Steel Band is to bring steel pan music to a wider audience through the means of private and public performances, workshops and demonstrations in the public arena. We welcome anyone from the age of 8 yrs old and upwards to come and have a go wherever we are playing.

DEVELOP EXTENDED RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF,PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL.ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS.PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF SUCH FACILITIES OR ITEMS FOR EDUCATION AT THE SCHOOL (NOT PROVIDED FROM STATUTORY FUNDS) AS FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINED.

Scout activities.AdventureEducationFunFor young people aged 6 -14

Three Dogs support people who are struggling with the cost of living crisis, are on benefits or low income or experiencing homelessness AND have responsibility for a dog or dogs. We provide food , bedding and equipment for dogs and help their people to make an initial consultation appointment with their vet to ensure proper care. We educate on welfare and good practice with caring for dogs.

Provide facilities and support for groups including adult keep fit and social contact groups, also several dance groups, bingo and lunch clubs.

Our charity raises money through various events in order to provide our school with financial support by providing equipment beyond the school budget.

Provision of community centre for hire for community events

The Study and practice of Choral and Orchestra music,in order to foster public knowledge andappreciation of such music by means of public performances

Parents, teachers and friends of Caton St Paul's School raise extra money for school projects and equipment e.g. library books, computers, sports and outdoor equipment. They also contribute by supporting the School Sports Day, the annual Christmas Fair and also by donating money towards children attending outside school activities e.g. Young Voices.

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Croston and the surrounding district without the distinction of sex, religious, political or other opinions, primarily but not exclusively, by advancing education and providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

To promote humane behaviour towards retired police dogs in Lancashire by providing financial assistance to the owners of retired police dogs who have charge of animals that are in need of appropriate care & attention by reason of sickness, poor circumstance or ill usage

Religious activities

To promote high standards in the breeding of pure breed and rare breed poultry by advancing the education of poultry breeders and the general public.

The Trustees meet and approve the distribution of the income from investments to the needy within the area of benefit as described in the scheme of the Commissioners of 7th Feb 1977
