We are a Women's Institute that belongs to the Lancashire Federation of Women's Institute and the National Federation.Are governed by a constitution where the main aim is education of women.

To promote and support the education of women by way of outings (stately homes etc.) Speakers on many subjects and bursaries for educational courses

Fundraising to benefit the children attending Thorneyholme R C School

The George Barton Motor Neurone Disease (Research) Trust raise funds for extensive research into this devastating disease. Research has taken the form of drug trials involving patient participation and experimental studies at cellular level. The results of these have been presented at both National and International level, in the medical press and at scientific meetings and symposia.

Provide Social events i.e. Domino Evenings, Craft afternoons, Bingo evenings,arrange seasonal Coach Outings and a Christmas Party available to any Senior Citizen.(usually about 160).

TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS OF GREAT HARWOOD BY PROVISION OF A RECREATION GROUND

Money raised provides additional facilities and support for pupils. For example, a new minibus; large outdoor play equipment; iPads; an outdoor classroom. They have also provided a defibrillator for use in the school in emergencies - school funds the training to use this equipment. The current project that the Charity is raising funds for, is a Sensory Room to be constructed within the school.

implied - we are the pta for Scotforth St Pauls C E School. We raise funds through various activities,summer and christmas fairs and other activities for both pupils and parents alike. We provide funds for various school activities and requirements, eg i.t. and educational visits and activities from outside providers and we run various social events throughout the year

Events and activities for the benefit of Belthorn Village and its residents

The aims and objectives of the charity is to advance the education of the pupils of St Luke's School by providing and helping to provide, facilities for education at the School; to extend relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the School; to engage in activities which support the School and advance the education of its pupils.

The Fund exists to support the work Balderstone Parish Church.

Our PTA works with our school, parents, pupils and the local community to puton a range of events and activities, such as family bingo, school discos and summer fairs. These help to build theschool community, break down barriers and help fundraise. We use our funds to purchase arange of goods and services that help advance the education of pupils at our school.
