MONTHLY MEETINGS IN COOKRIDGE AND HORSFORTH LEEDS FOR A TALK, COFFEE AND SOCIAL INTERACTION50 GROUPS INCLUDING:ARTS, LANGUAGES,, SCIENCE AND ENVIRONMENT, THEATRE, BRIDGE, , DISCUSSION , MAH JONG, SCRABBLEPHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: TABLE-TENNIS, VARIETY OF WALKING GROUPS, PICKLEBALLVISITS IN THIS COUNTRY

Grants for the religious and other charitable work of Quakers in Yorkshire and making grants for other charitable objects with an emphasis on religious charities, animal charities and charities for elderly people, children and disabled persons and for peace and reconciliation. It is the Trust's practice not make more than one grant to the same organisation within a period of 18 months

Education and Islamic education

This charity activities help this local school to enhance the learning, facilities and experiences for the pupils at the school.

The Charity money is send to the homeless and disabled poor peoples.

The Choir gives concerts both charitable and non-charitable for the benefit of local communities and also for communities further afield; this year we have given concerts for various charities including Yorkshire air ambulance,Prince of Wales Hospice(Pontefract), Knottingley company shop. We have also raised money by concerts and other means for the Alzheimer's Society.In 2024 Prostate Cancer.

We provide support to all members including family and carers who have had or are currently receiving treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis. We offer Wellness Days, Pilates, Dance sessions, walks, a monthly drop in session with guest speakers, buddies for hospital appointments if requested and a private Facebook group with approximately 250 members where advice can be sought.

A cadet training centre based on Leeds Liverpool canal near Thwaites Mills one of 400 spread across the UK. We currently have 60 cadets trained by 15 volunteers.

Music choral society performing all forms of music both secular & modern. Affiliated members of the National Federation of Music Societies - Making Music.

Organsing fund raising events for parents and children of the school such as disco's, quizzes, childrens' activities etc to support the running of the school.

We hold regular meetings on the third Saturday in the month with the exception of December.Some meetings have a business section followed by a talk or demonstration given by a visiting textile artist. Other meetings are used to practice and share our skills.We also demonstrate our crafts at local events and shows.

To fundraise to provide extra support to school via sponsored events,donations,commission through boolk fairs,uniform sales etc.

We are a parent teachers association raising funds for Crossley Street Primary school, by means of holding fund raising events. Events include disco's and fairs.

To hold an annual show, if possible, with classes for a wide variety of animals both farm and domestic, to encourage country crafts and skills.To award educational grants to young people to further their studies in connection with agriculture and related subjects, provided that they live in Todmorden or otherwise have a connection with the show.

Providing professionally supervised exercise classes aimed at preserving, improving and protecting the health of former coronary care and heart surgery patients and those at risk of cardiac events.

Fundraising through school fairs, raffles, bags2school collections etc. Just finished enriching the outdoor provision for the reception and KS1 playground and now raising funds to improve accessibility of the woodland area and access to a range of new books for the library and subsidising trips so all the children can benefit.

As a church we provide facilities for public worship. We also minister to the elderly and sick through visitation. We provide care and support for those with spiritual and emotional needs. We also visit many retirement homes and hold short services. In addition we support all our local primary schools with religious education through a bible exhibition.

The object for which STARS is established is to promote the advancement and improvement of general education in relation to all aspects of the art of drama and the development of public appreciation of such art in the area of Leeds, West Yorkshire & to promote and perform plays, drama, comedies and other dramatic work of educative value.

To hold funds of gifts, legacies, donations, etc. for the benefit of Ackworth School.

ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF, PARENTS, AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL, ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES AND PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE SCHOOL, ORGANISING EVENTS TO RAISE FUNDS SPECIFIC TO SCHOOL PROJECTS AND TO BENEFIT THE WIDER LOCAL COMMUNITY IN OTLEY.

Family events to raise funds for the school

Maintain and manage the Community Centre owned by Leeds City Council. Organise lettings and use of the building.
