Educating the public in the history and heritage of the inland waterways of Yorkshire by:- a) preserving vessels and artifacts which illustrate and explain the history and heritage of the waterways; b) providing the public with access to the waterways for the purpose of education; and c) undertaking research into the waterways and publishing the results for the public benefit.

At the monthly meeting we usually have a speaker or slide show on interesting subjects, demonstrations.. We also have outings as a group, and a monthly craft group .meeting. Members also have the opportunity to attend craft training courses organised by the Federation.

Encourage and assist the youth of Bramhope to meet their full potential

We raise money for children attending Westwood Primary School, support the families that attend there are the wider community. We help to provide opportunities and resources to the families and local area.

The main aim of the Emma Maltby Memorial Fund is to raise funds to employ Learning Mentors at the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit in St James's Hospital in Leeds. The Learning Mentors will assist patients to ensure that they can continue their education whilst undergoing treatment for cancer.

Provision of horse riding facilities for disabled persons

Our objectives are: The advancement of the Christian faith. Bringing relief to those who are in need, suffering hardship or distress. The provision of recreation or other leisure time activities for persons who have need of such facilities by reason of youth, age, disablement or infirmity of social and economic circumstances or for the benefit of the public at large.

Small charity run by volunteers catering for adults and children with a wide range of both physical and mental disabilities within the Bradford/Leeds area.Clients come on a regular basis as individuals or part of a group from a specialist centre. All are taught by a qualified instructor.Benefits to clients include improved physical skills, self confidence and feeling of independence.

Raising funds and organising events and activities for the benefit of pupils of St Oswald's C of E Primary and the local community

Our charity has 2 objectives, one to raise funds which contribute towards the purchase of equipment, services and events that the school might not be able to afford and which enrich the children's educational life. And secondly to promote a positive and active school community.

Promoting conservation, creation and management of the natural history of the Reserve.Maintaining and enhancing appropriate biodiversity within the floodplain of the River Wharfe, within the Leeds boundary.

The Charity has received a large legacy payment and is managing the invested funds to support the needs of young people under the age of 16 in the West Yorkshire area that are suffering from cancer.

HOSPITAL RADIO BROADCASTING, SPECIFICALLY PROVIDING A SERVICE OF SPORTS COMMENTARIES FROM THE MAIN SPORTING VENUES IN LEEDS ON FOOTBALL, CRICKET, RUGBY UNION, RUGBY LEAGUE AND OTHER SPORTS.

Facilitates art classes, demonstrations, and practice sessions for all members of the community. Membership fees are minimal thus allowing access for the under privileged. We have many members of all ages from 18 to 95. Disabled and aged members are transported to the club by the able bodied members. Schools are invited to exhibitions where artists are available to discuss art work and media.

The Charity works with local providers engaged with middle-aged and elderly people to provide blood pressure, sugar levels and BMI checks at community luncheon clubs and events. The Charity also partners with health & wellbeing projects providing advice, campaigning and elderly care.

The object of the Sangat is to advance the Sikh religion amongst the residents of the City of Leeds and surrounding area.

We continue to support our village children's education by paying their private tuition fees for the last 8 years and also running an English class for students. We funded house renovation expenses of 70,000 Rupees to a single mother of two, which was in very bad condition. The foundation funded to buy 3 sheep in total for 3 different families and also provided medical assistance to a child.

Raising funds and building the community around the school through organising: school fairs in Autumn and Summer term; movie nights and discos for pupils; evening events for parents and staff; cake sales; secret santa for pupils; seasonal greetings cards etc.

Events such as: Summer BBQ's, Christmas Fairs, Halloween & Valentine's disco's are arranged for the children who attend the school to have fun at & also to raise money for the children at the school (& others who come to it for clubs) to help pay for school trips and at present playground equipment.
