This is achieved by a residential programme, academic support and doing voluntary work and services in the community. This programme is currently carried out in countries in Sierra Leone and in the future extended other African countries

Other needy causes are addressed as and when they occur

The charity provides 2 Alms Houses for the use of villagers who are unable to own their own homes. The occupants contribute a monthly sum for the upkeep of the properties.

The provision of facilities for hobbies, recreation or other leisure time occupation including practical interests, skills sharing, the learning of new skills, and helping with community based projects".

Education and Training

Patients Welfare Grant, Working alongside Kidney Unit and Dialysis Unit.Summer outings for Kidney Patients and family visits. Winter outings and other activities as voted by members. Provide guidance to welfare/other issues to members

Raising money for use by children of Barwell Infant School. Making donations, where possible, to other charities.

Charity club raising funds to help the local community

Provision of Library services to Newbold Verdon, Barlestone and surrounding villages in Leicestershire. Maintaining the Library building as a community hub and offering a wide range of activities to all sections of the community.

Market Harborough Street Pastors is a group of Christians from different churches in the Harborough District. They patrol the streets on a Friday evening, or Saturday or Bank Holiday Sunday night caring for, listening to and helping people they meet.

Supporting partnership and co-operation across libraries and information services in the East Midlands.

Originating from the Seaforth Highlanders Regimental Association, Leicester, where the regiment recruited widely during both world wars. Today the band exists to honour and remember those men of Leicestershire who served in the regiment and those died in conflict and to promote the education of the public in the highland arts, namely piping, drumming and highland dancing.

The holding of regular rehearsals and concerts.Extending the experience of choral music making to the wider community.

To relieve the people of Broughton Astley, Leicestershire and neighbouring villages who are in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or social circumstances in such ways as the trustees shall think fit. To support volunteering and the voluntary sector and provide the people of Broughton Astley with social interaction to relieve isolation as a result of Covid pandemic.

Purpose of the charity is to raise money for Swinford Church of England Primary School. Money raised is to be used to the advantage of pupils e.g. equipment, resources, trips.

Support ministers financially within the group of churches including maintaining manses

We are a charity run by volunteers, with no personal financial gain. We work alongside Newbold Verdon Primary School, running events like school discos, cake sales, summer fairs, mothers/fathers day and Christmas shops for the school children. All money raised is spent on the children, contributing toward school trips, hiring a planetarium and a number of other benefits for the children
