ACMHS is a community based organisation providing free confidential and culturally appropriate services to African and African Caribbean people suffering from mental ill health. Main activities are assessment and management of care, Mental health services, IAPT, CBT, Advocacy, Volunteering, Carers Group, Student Placement, Advice and Support, Counselling, Drop-ins, Befriending/peer support

The principal activity of the African Caribbean Care Group is to promote the welfare of older people of African Caribbean descent, in Manchester, Trafford and neighbouring districts, by providing care services, advancing education and promoting the physical, social and mental health of the beneficiaries.

FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, LITERACY, THE DIFFUSION OF KNOWLEDGE, AND THE PROVISION OF LITERATURE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND THE WIDENING OF PUBLIC INTEREST IN MATTERS OF LITERACY, ARTISTIC, SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL INTEREST OF EVERY KIND; TO CONDUCT A LIBRARY IN THE PREMISES AT MOSLEY STREET, MANCHESTER, AND BUY OR HIRE AND LEND BOOKS, MAGAZINES, MUSIC, PERIODICALS AND PUBLICATIONS GENERALLY.

1. The relief of poverty in the UK and Israel.2. The rehabilitation of minors and infants in the UK and Israel.3. To advance the religion of the Jewish faith in the UK and Israel in accordance with the orthodox practice. 4. To advance Jewish education in the UK and Israel. 5. Such other purposes as are recognised by the law of England and Wales as charitable.

The objectives of the charity are to cater for the religious requirements generally of the Jewish inhabitants of Manchester and the surrounding districts and to provide the normal facilities of a Synagogue in accordance with orthodox Jewish tradition.

To promote advance and propagate the Chrisian Religion by the study and teaching of the Bible Christian Doctrine and related subjects and by the training of Ministers of Religion, Christian Teachers, Missionaries, Evangelists and other Christian workers. To relieve poverty, suffering and distress. To advance education. To carry out other purpose of charity nature beneficial to the community.

To work in partnership with others to create a sustainable resource which inproves the health and well being for people in Wythenshawe and increases their ability to participate in the wider community. To do this we offer furniture, white goods and clothes at low cost, courses for physical, mental and emotional well being and our cafe serves healthy food at an affordable cost.

The object of the charity is to provide in Greater Manchester and the surrounding area for the care and protection of animals of all kinds in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances, ill usage and other similar causes and to prevent thereby cruelty to and suffering among animals.

Rekindle is a unique supplementary school.It is primarily led by young people who helped design a school they know their peers need. Set to open its doors in March 2022, it will be for students from working class communities, for students no one really expects to adore education, for students who the regular system fails, rather than feeds.

Day centre for Jewish elderly, blind and physically disabled people or any other catergory of individual who is deemed to be in need of such assistance.Serving the community with physical, social & emotional care.

MCGI is a Christian religious organization, with its main headquarters in the Philippines and various chapters located around the globe including the UK and the Isle of Man. The majority of the Church members are Filipino nationals but through its continuous effort to propagate the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ across the world, it has grown into a group of diverse racial descents.

Methodist Central Hall, Manchester (MCHM) aims to promote, facilitate and assist with the work and purposes of the Methodist Church for the advancement of the Christian faith. In order to achieve this aim, MCHM aims to maintain sound finances and good property management so that it can continue to provide suitable accommodation for each of the Church Bodies at Central Buildings.

Community Development and Community Cohesion

Food For All distributes around 6,000 free, nutritionally balanced meals to the homeless and disadvantaged on a daily basis. FFA targets the homeless, single parents, the elderly, the unemployed, people suffering from mental and physical disabilities and the marginalised. FFA is based on the philosophy of community self-help.

In essence we provide welfare and education services to the Chinese and other ethnic minority communities. We run projects such as elderly luncheon club and elderly carers for people over 60, women and family, youth, mental health to get people people back to the society, and adult education. We operate in the Greater Manchester area

Our Crisis Assessment Referral Diversity Service provides personal development intervention to people in Manchester age 16-25 at risk or facing homelessness or exploitation.Our weekend breakfast drop in and monthly wellbeing drop-in also provide clothes for adults in need.Our Christmas day shelter project provides free food, company and entertainment for adults in need over the holiday period.

Manchester Central Foodbank, part of the Trussell Trust Network, provides an emergency service to those in need in Central Manchester. We give out emergency food parcels (3 days nutritionally balanced food) and signposting services to those referred to us by front line agencies (social workers, GPs, chaplains, schools, etc.) as well as support in other forms to relieve the impact of poverty.

A variety of weekly meetings and services have been held throughout the year, most of which have been open for anyone to attend. Christianity has been advanced through teaching, worship and prayer; faith, love for others, tolerance and generosity are promoted.

The activities of the Jesus Foundation Family International is mainly religious and they are streamlined into the following: 1. For the advancement of christian faith 2. To reach out in love to the people and our community 3. To provide a place of worship and prayer.

St James and Emmanuel is a large and diverse church community consisting of 4 Sunday congregations and several small groups. We have close links with St James and Emmanuel Academy Trust and our buildings are used continually throughout the week by church members and the wider community. We run numerous homegroups and activities from youth/children's groups through to work with the disadvantaged.
