Medway Family Church Trust is a Christian Charity. Primary activities are Sunday worship,evangelism, children's teaching groups, work in the community including mother and toddlersgroups, fellowship groups, elderly persons meeting group, youth group, marriageencouragement courses and others as noted in the Annual Report.

Provides an advice and advocacy service on the many and varied problems that arise in daily life. These include information and advice on a whole range of issues: family and personal; welfare benefits; housing and homelessness; taxation; money advice and personal debt; immigration and nationality; consumer; and employment.

Ideas Test work in Swale and Medway and supports communities to lead more creative lives and feel better about themselves and where they live.

To do charitable activities to help enforce christian values in the community

For the public benefit, to prevent or relieve the poverty of people who are homeless or in financial hardship by providing items, information and advice to individuals in need and or other charities and organisations who are also working to prevent or relieve poverty.

PWCA is primariliy set up to provide Social Welfare & Education activities within the Parkwood Area. This includes a number of activities such as; Pre-School Nursery, Dancing Classes, Keep Fit, Slimming Classes and a number of internal groups (such as Camera, Organ, Radio enthusiasts groups).

We undertake religious activities in accordance with the Christian Faith, holding services and mid-week activities for children, young people & adults also providing nurturing & support.We also run a Christian Debt Centre, coffee mornings and a Lunch Club. Various Community Groups use our premises including people with learning disabilities, cookery classes, Pre School and mental health needs.

Help in the Community is the charity responsible for Medway Foodbank, which operates as part of the Trussell Trust, a national network whose aim is to end UK food poverty. Clients access the foodbank via a voucher system. Vouchers are issued in over 100 partner agencies across the Medway towns. These are redeemed in one of 9 centres, open over 6 days of the week.

The operation and management of two Anglican Churches within the Parish, this includes the operation of a church sponsored Pre-school.

The Trust's main aim is to support programmes which reduce offending and reoffending, promote entrepreneurship amongst the young and disadvantaged, and tackle other challenges such as homelessness and addiction.

CHURCH OF ENGLAND

Disability Assist for Independent Living provides and promotes enabling independent living services to disabled people in Kent and Medway. It offers advocacy, peer support, advice, information and a range of support and assistance services which facilitate their independence as full and equal citizens in all aspects of life and the wider community.

Home-Start Medway offers support, friendship and practical help to parents with young children. We recruit and train volunteers, who are usually parents themselves, to home-visit families who have at least one child under five. Our volunteers offer parents informal, friendly and confidential support. Home-Start Medway supports parents in order to help give children the best possible start in life.

Regular public worship open to all. Pastoral work, visiting the sick and bereaved. Teaching Christianity. Taking of religious assemblies in schools. The provision of youth activities with a Christian ethos. Promotion of Christianity. Promoting the whole mission of the church. Provision of activities for senior citizens, parents and special need groups. Supporting other charities.

The promotion of efficiency of the Armed Forces and in particular the Corps of Royal Engineers.

Parkwood Pre-school CIO is open for children from the age of 2 years to 5 years. We have been an OFSTED rated Outstanding Pre-school since 2009.

We run drama groups, singing and music projects, a professional Theatre Company, accessible film club and other creative activities for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism in Kent & Medway. We celebrate difference, challenge perceptions and support people to shine in their own way. We nurture friendships, develop confidence, advance skills and improve wellbeing.

To provide a safe, stimulating educational and childcare provision for 2 to 5 year olds to explore and learn through play.

Provision of sheltered housing for the elderly

To advance the education and development of children with a particular (but not exclusive) focus on disadvantaged children and their families, for the public benefit, by providing support, advocacy and services that complement those available in school, both within and outside of the school day.

CPRE Kent, the countryside charity, exists to promote the beauty, tranquillity and diversity of rural England by encouraging the sustainable use of land and other natural resources in town and country.
