THE OBJECT OF THE ASSOCIATION (THE OBJECTS) IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY: DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STAFF, PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL. ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.

THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY REMAINS THE SAME AND THE METHOD OF AWARDING EDUCATIONAL GRANTS REMAINS THE SAME. THE TRUSTEES AIM IS TO ENSURE INCOME RECEIVED IS FULLY ALLOCATED TO EXPENDITURE EACH YEAR TO APPLICANTS UNDER 25 YEARS OF AGE TOWARDS EDUCATIONAL NEEDS.

By means of local fund-raising events, the charity provides grants to individuals and local, national and international charities as well as providing support to local organisations.

Mens Walk & Talk Group for men to improve their physical and mental health

The rescue and the preservation of life of persons injured or stranded underground and to assist other emergency services, including other cave rescue groups and mountain rescue teams.

Gwent Arts in Health (GARTH) promotes and develops an arts and health programme for the patients and general public in healthcare and community settings throughout the Gwent area. GARTH was founded to ensure that the benefits of creative programmes within healthcare settings could be developed across all hospitals and health facilities in the Gwent area.

Fundraising as PTA

The charity maintains & lets the village hall to individuals (childrens party) organisations (WI, Gilwern Senior Citizens). The hall is vibrant and active social centre for the village of Gilwern.

As well as competing at both local and national levels in brass band competitions, we provide music for the local community together with music tuition for all ages especially disadvantaged youngsters as well as providing historical information to heritage groups, keeping alive the tradition of colliery bands. We provide concerts for other charities, veteran and senior citizen groups.

We organise an annual festival which usually includes a children's opera (designed, performed and presented by children assisted by professional musicians and soloists), an opera/opera extracts performed by a mixture of professional and amateur artists, two jazz concerts (one professional, one amateur) and, sometimes, a lecture on a music-related subject. The festival is usually held in May.

Parents, Teachers & Friends Association raising funds to help provide the school with additional resources

A Museum that is open to the public from April to October during the afternoons and at weekends, giving a detailed history of Monmouth Castle and the Royal Monmouthshire Engineers (Militia) Regiment.

The relief of sickness and preservation of health and in particular by:- the provision and promotion of cardiac rehabilitation and cardiac related healthcare within Wales. The education of the public in cardiac related health issues.

Mainly hiring out village hall; also putting on film shows & quizzes & adult & childrens' pantomimes.

To support and enhance the learning environment and journey of the children of Archbishop Rowan Williams Primary School

MIXED PROGRAMME OF CHORAL MUSIC. EXCHANGE VISITS WITH HEIDENHEIM (GERMANY) EVERY THREE YEARS. CONCERTS ANNUALLY FOR THE BENEFIT OF LOCAL CHARITIES.

PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISABLED PERSONS TO WORSHIP AND TO MEET WITH OTHERS FOR SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND FELLOWSHIP.

Village Life has been established as a charity to help save life in rural communities in Llangattock Vibon Avel, a community council area in Monmouthshire. The charity has installed five publicly accessible defibrillators at suitable locations, is training local people in lifesaving resuscitation skills, and developing 'help in a crisis' good neighbour volunteer schemes.

Fund raising events are carried out to fund equipment and resources to assist children in the Special Needs Resource Base at Overmonnow Primary School in Monmouth. Funds are raised through Silent Auctions, Bag2School, Table Top Sales. Donations are made by individuals, local businesses.

Relief of need

To preserve, promote and share the history and cultural heritage of Brynmawr and its surrounding area through exhibits, educational lectures, research and community engagement

To advance the promotion of the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment in the Crucorney Area - and to advance the education of people who live in the Crucorney Area in conservation and environmental matters by making grants and awards as the trustees see fit from time to time.

Provision of Sports and Recreational facilities for the village and surrounding communities.
