A grant giving trust

InterAct Stroke Support takes professional actors into hospitals and stroke clubs to read and interact with stroke survivors. This interaction alleviates boredom, depression and stimulates the brain, thus helping rehabilitation & recovery.Post stroke depression is common and neural stimulation has been shown to help the brain "adaptively rewire" finding new routes from A to B.

Evening group work, centre-based and outdoor; children, young women and men's groups, mixed groups, Slovak and Czech groups and integration work. Detached work; Street based group work and information sharing. Duke of Edinburgh Award. Daily afternoon Drop-ins dealing with employability, debt, credit union, sexual health and 1-2-1 support. True Colours Theatre provides performing arts classes for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities aged 4 to 21 in the North East.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in Newcastle upon Tyne and its surrinding areas in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of youth football.

The Charity will engage in a range of activities ,either on its own or with others, including; a) the celebration of public worship which is held on Sundays. Blue Sky Trust:1. Supports and connects people in the North East and Cumbria at every step of their HIV journey through the provision of one to one support, peer mentoring, peer support, education and events.2. Empowers young people to make safe, healthy relationship choices through creative educational workshops (Think 4 Yourself) in schools and youth settings.

Newcastle Vision Support supports 1,300 people living with sight loss. Our numbers grow by 100 new referrals each year. To our service users NVS provides vital support enabling clients to overcome the devastating effects of sight loss. Services provided include - outreach, volunteer visiting, training (including IT training places to 60 clients per year), a resource centre and much more.
