The Charles S. French Charitable Trust is a charitable trust establised by trust deed on 1 September 1959 by Charles S. French for the promotion and advancement of primarily local charities in Essex and NE London at the discretion of the trustees.

Ambition, Aspire, Achieve focuses on the communities of Newham and East London. We work in partnership with, and receive referrals schools, education welfare services, health visitors, family and child consultation services, community mental health teams, probation services, family support groups, disability support groups, community organisations and youth offending teams.

We are an inclusive, enjoyable, community sports club, enabling hundreds of Londoners to participate in aquatics. Waltham Forest Churches Night Shelter provides short-term accommodation, support and resettlement services for former rough sleepers and street homeless people in its hostel, known as 'Branches'. We provide advocacy, and access to life-skills development, employment, training and volunteering opportunities to give individuals a better chance of successful independent living after they move on.

We provide programmes for adults with learning difficulties and run social activities for elders. Trinity is also a base for independent groups and for events, activities and projects, as well as a Day Care Nursery. Trinity partners with other organisations particularly in training and health.

The Trust makes grants to groups and projects with specific Essx focus and benefits. The largest group of grants goes to support of community and / or youth schemes within Essex. There has also been increased support for the elderly and marginalised within our society.
