Our aim is to encourage young physically and/or sensory disabled people between the ages of 16-25 yrs to build a social network of non-disabled friends through one to one buddying. We also encourage disabled youngsters to play a fuller role in their community through active participation in the running of the charity as well as taking part in and organising educational and group social activities.

On one of the most deprived estates in the South West we aim to strengthen families by organising activities that expand horizons and raise aspirations,through: Activities for children that develop skills and improve conditions of life. Training/support to encourage parents to become involved with and understand the needs of their children. Adult focused activities to increase life skills.

The objects of the charity are:to further any charitable purpose, whether or not the purpose is carried out within England and Wales or elsewhere, orto benefit any charitable institution, whether or not its works are carried out within England or Wales or elsewhere.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

Lightbox aims to discover and present stories that are untold or overlooked. Over the last five years we have produced revivals of overlooked tales or devised shows from real 'untold' stories discovered during community outreach projects and workshops, demonstrating our commitment to creating inspiring, high quality and pertinent theatre that creates a sense of connection and alleviates isolation.

Each year there are 90 walks plus longer holiday trips and 7 illustrated talksWe publish a monthly bulletin Bird News and assist AOG with the annual Avon Bird ReportExperienced birders pass on their knowledge on the walks and we arrange structured training coursesMembers take part in conservation projects and local and national surveysWe produce a daily Blog of local bird sightings

Provision of care and services for adults with Learning Disabilities. Current services are a Training Lunch Club, where trainees with LD learn catering skills, Woodwork and Gardening Day Services for adults with LD. Emphasis on giving trainees an opportunity to do something constructive and positive for others. Aspiration to provide supported community style living for adults with LD.

Provision of housing for people aged 50 or over in housing need.This is provided in 7 almshouse properties at Langford, North Somerset.Preference is given to people in financial need from, or with, connections to this area.

WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DEVON & SOMERSET FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE / LOCAL COMMUNITES ON COMMUNITY SAFETY. OUR WORK INCLUDES, FIRE PREVENTION, ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR E.G FIRESETTING, COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AND SAFE DRIVING. WE PROVIDE ADVICE AND EXPERTISE, MAKE GRANTS TO LOCAL GROUPS IN NEED, RAISE FUNDING, ASSIST OTHER GROUPS TO RAISE FUNDING AND HELP TRAIN AND EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS.

The main objectives of the charity are to regenerate, or seek the regeneration of, the Birnbeck Pier and Island for the benefit of the public.

The Uphill Village Society exists to preserve, promote and enhance the character and interests of the village of Uphill for the benefit of the village and residents in accordance with the Objects of the charity. It is funded wholly by subscriptions, donations and grant aid where available. Membership is open to all residents, groups and businesses within the village of Uphill.

To provide or assist in the provision of cycling equipment and facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need.Providing regular opportunities for physical and mental well-being through our programme of inclusive cycling using adapted and accessible bikes, trikes, hand cycles and tandems in a traffic free environment.

Provide church services to encourage people in their Christian faith and to support each other. Visiting to keep people in touch and valued. Weekly lunch to provide love and care to the disadvantaged. Deaf Church meets monthly, and Thursday Friendship group meet weekly in term time. NA, CA & AA meet on six evenings and some day time meetings.

The charity provides bonds in lieu of private housing rent deposits for homeless people in North Somerset. It also has a twice weekly drop-in clinic for homeless or likely to be made homeless people who are referred to us by other local agencies. These clinics are used for signposting, support and practical assistance.

The Charity acts as an alternative learning resource providing a service to young people who are referred by local schools as these young people have been excluded from mainstream education and are given respite education and specialist activities as a platform to re-engage and re-enthuse them. An evening Youth club is run for local young people. There are activities for Elderly Disabled People.

In the villages of Banwell and Congresbury, North Somerset the Charity a) provides common resources for its member churches i.e. Administration, Parish Nursing, Youth Work and Community Developmentb) uses these specialist resources to engage its overall membership in building up the wider community c) runs events that bring the members of the four churches and the local community together

Our vision is to work together to bring justice, dignity and the end of exploitation globally.We do this through fostering greater collaboration and knowledge sharing between multi-sector stakeholders as well as building the capacity of anti-trafficking charities through advisory and resourcing support services.

Church holds services of worship every Sunday and mid-week which include bible teaching.Age-related activities held throughout year for all age groups, incl. Pre-School. Sunday services are recorded and available on CD. FOC. All church activites are open to general public and advertised on noticeboard, website and, from time to time in local press.Church supports Christian witness in Albania.

Trendlewood church holds a weekly Sunday service at Golden Valley school,Nailsea. Children's groups run during this time. Small groups from the church membership meet at various times during the week. A pastoral team regularly considers the members' pastoral needs and organises any support required. Other services and events are run, including biennially a Trendlewood Community Festival.

We collect clean and safe waste materials from businesses and industry, and make these materials available to individuals and groups in North Somerset.

Yatton Youth Club provides sport and other recreational facilities for the children and young people in Yatton and Caverham.
