The objects of the CIO are the advancement of amateur sport by promoting the community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the residents of Churchill, Somerset and the surrounding area by (A) the provision of facilities for playing cricket;(B) encouraging and developing where possible the cricketing skills and knowledge of senior and junior members

Scout Group

Provides talks in winter months and possibly summer visits for the Yatton area on items of historical interest. Also publishes occasional booklets covering local historical memories and information.

The Orchestra will general 3 public concerts each year. Concert proceeds may go to another charity (e.g. previously St Peter's Hospice and Save The Children have been chosen). Additionally the Orchestra may provide players from its sections to perform in groups for school musicals and other public events during the course of the year.

The charity runs a Village Hall for the benefit and enjoyment of the residents of the Civil Parish of Puxton and its surrounding area - "the area of benefit". Dog training, music, dance, craft classes, WI & Parish Council meetings, private and public social events all form part of the activity mix. The Hall is also the local polling station for local & national elections and referenda.

Provision of a series of concerts and recitals of classical and modern musical works (usually max. 6) in each season, October - June, at local Church premises in the Henleaze district of Bristol, including giving particular prominence to gifted local young musicians, and presenting pre-concert talks by eminent musicians and academics on the contents of each concert's programme.

Management of village hall.

Providing meeting places and camping facilities, for members and supporters of the Scout Association and other youth organisations, in particular in Southmead or the North West of Bristol, for social welfare, recreation & other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, with the object of improving their conditions of life.

Facilitate Acts of Public Worship. Promotes the Philosophy of SNU Spiritualism by the holding workshops/seminars on Spiritualism including training in the different forms of Mediumship, including Spiritualist Healing.Hold Open Days, Special Demonstrations of Mediumship, Healing Sessions. We also raise funds for local groups which are run by volunteers in in our area.

Managing Playing Field facilities and encompassed amenities by ensuring funding maintained to keep the complex in best condition and, by doing so, enabling sporting, social and recreational activities to be made available to all members of the community.

Each year there are 90 walks plus longer holiday trips and 7 illustrated talksWe publish a monthly bulletin Bird News and assist AOG with the annual Avon Bird ReportExperienced birders pass on their knowledge on the walks and we arrange structured training coursesMembers take part in conservation projects and local and national surveysWe produce a daily Blog of local bird sightings

Provision of a Parish Hall for use by the villagers of Backwell and surrounding district for various activities and interests to the local community

Providing education and support to cat owners to promote responsible ownership. Assisting cat owners in times of crisis to alleviate pressures by providing temporary care for their pets.

Activities for young people following the guidelines of the Scout Association, to promote their development in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

MAKING GRANTS TO PRIMARY CARE IN THE UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL AND UNIVERSITY OF EXETER MEDICAL SCHOOL.

Advancement of theatrical arts

To advance the Education of Pupils in the School, in particular by;a. developing effective relationships between the Staff, parents and others associated with the Schoolb. Engaging in activities, providing facilities or equipment that support the school and advance the education of it's pupils.This has been achieved by a number of fundraising events in the year.

The Charity raised the funds to build and equip a modern, larger Therapy Centre enabling the West of England MS Therapy Centre ltd to move to this donated, easily accessible site for those living with a Neurological Condition in 2012. The Charity is responsible for the building and has the head lease with the Local Authority.

Activities include the hiring and letting of the hall to the public and other interested parties. Fund raising by various events for the upkeep and improvement of hall facilities.Community use for clubs and social activities. Enabling users to lead a fully active and healthy lifestyle.

The objects of the Charity are wide and the Trustees may pay, or apply, both income and capital for such charitable purposes as they, in their absolute discretion, see fit. The Trust does, however, promote and give particular support to music education in state schools in the old county of Avon.
