To advance the Education of Pupils in the School, in particular by;a. developing effective relationships between the Staff, parents and others associated with the Schoolb. Engaging in activities, providing facilities or equipment that support the school and advance the education of it's pupils.This has been achieved by a number of fundraising events in the year.

The object of the League is to support the charitable work of the Clevedon Hospital. The Charity supplements the service provided by the hospital for the health, welfare and comfort of the patients therein and in the community, by the provision of facilities, building and equipment which may be required for the treatment of patients, or for the efficient running of the hospital.

Fundraising activities and support for the benefit of the children attending Backwell C of E Junior School.

We provide funding to assist the Dean and Chapter to maintain and beautify the church and and support its worship, music and outreach.

The objects of the Charity are wide and the Trustees may pay, or apply, both income and capital for such charitable purposes as they, in their absolute discretion, see fit. The Trust does, however, promote and give particular support to music education in state schools in the old county of Avon.

Management of village hall.

To provide a village hall facility for local user groups

PLAYING ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

Organising and running the Weston-super-Mare Sea Shanty and Folk Music Festival, then distributing the proceeds after costs to nominated local charities. Current nominated charities are Weston-super-Mare RNLI and Weston-super-Mare Lions Club.Musical Performance in aid of good caused such as the nominated charities above

THE PTFA ORGANISE A NUMBER OF EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE SCHOOL AND ITS PUPILS. WE HELD A FIREWORKS NIGHT, COLOUR RUN AND SUMMER FETE, QUIZ NIGHTS AND CAKE SALES

The promotion and encouragement of family history, genealogy and associated studies with particular reference to the area that made up the former County of Avon. The society publishes a quarterly journal, holds meetings and talks open to all, operates a website, maintains a research room which offers assistance to members and non-members, and organises and supports Fairs and outreach events.

We organise events for parents and pupils in order to raise additional funds to further enhance the teaching and learning experience within our school.

Scout Group.Provision of Scouting for young people in Banwell and surrounding area & training leaders to work with young people.

Ride Bristol is a registered charity run by a team of local mountain bikers. We aim to channel the collective weight of the local off road biking community to promote their interests across the Bristol and surrounding areas. Protect existing and pursue the opening of new rights of way for off road cyclists

Avon Federation Women's Institute.West Town & Backwell W.I.

Provision of a series of concerts and recitals of classical and modern musical works (usually max. 6) in each season, October - June, at local Church premises in the Henleaze district of Bristol, including giving particular prominence to gifted local young musicians, and presenting pre-concert talks by eminent musicians and academics on the contents of each concert's programme.

Raises funds for the children at Golden Valley Primary School to provide them with the extras in developing their education.

The promotion of improved driving standards coupled with an increased awareness of road safety. The Group conducts courses for drivers wishing to improve their driving in preparation of the Advanced Tests by the IAM RoadSmart. These courses consist of classroom sessions, together with practical on-road driving guidance given by the Group's voluntary Observers.

Delivering Table Tennis as a Service to the Weston-super-Mare community and surrounding areas.

Maintains and runs the Village Community Centre, where functions are held for the benefit of the local area.

A concert wind band established to advance, improve, develop and maintain public awareness in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects, including through the presentation of public concerts particularly in the local area.

Panache Steel Band is based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Panache started in 1994 at The Castle School, Thornbury, and has since become community based. As well as the main performing band, who performs both publically and privately, we run a variety of community-based steel band groups for different ages, as well as one-off workshops at local schools and other organisations.
