Panache Steel Band is based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Panache started in 1994 at The Castle School, Thornbury, and has since become community based. As well as the main performing band, who performs both publically and privately, we run a variety of community-based steel band groups for different ages, as well as one-off workshops at local schools and other organisations.

Study and practice of choral music to foster public knowledge and appreciation of music by means of public performance. To advance, improve, develop and maintain education in the art and science of music as the trustees see fit.To further such charitable purpose or purposes as the trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the making of grants and donations.

Scouting

Through the Rotary Club funds are raised by fund raising and social events. Those funds, in certain circumstances can be "multplied" via the Rotary Matching Grants at District, National and International level to fund larger project, particularly to assist in poorer countries. In addition assistance can be offered in practical waysby Rotarians employing their business skills to help others.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of cricket and other amateur sports deemed charitable under English law. The charity's cricket ground is located at Horse Race Lane, Lower Failand, Bristol BS8 3TY. The club aims to cater for a wide range of age groups, from young teenagers to players in their 60s and 70s.

The charity provides a centre in the Bristol area for members of the public to learn and practice Zen meditation and to study the teaching and practice of Soto Zen Buddhism.

The promotion and encouragement of family history, genealogy and associated studies with particular reference to the area that made up the former County of Avon. The society publishes a quarterly journal, holds meetings and talks open to all, operates a website, maintains a research room which offers assistance to members and non-members, and organises and supports Fairs and outreach events.

Provision of volunteer first responders, ambulance crews and healthcare professionals to support public and community events. Provision of specialist training in emergency care skills to the general public and healthcare professionals.

This Charity is designed to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of street band and outdoor music (including village and town bands and collective music making practices used for processions, rituals, parades, dances, protests and civic occasions) and the culture, history and traditions through public events, performance,workshops and educational activities.

Fundraising activities and support for the benefit of the children attending Backwell C of E Junior School.

To promote the general purpose of the work of the Young Men's Christian Association Movement for the physical, intellectual and spiritual, fitness, training and well being of youth in accordance with the rules and principles adopted by the National Council of YMCAs. Area of benefit being South West England only.

We hold regular Breaking of Bread services and Public addresses on Sundays and Bible Classes during the week. The public addresses and Bible Classes are advertised to the public on notice boards outside our meeting hall and on our website. They may also be promoted by the distribution of leaflets and advertisements in the local paper from time to time.
