Early years childcare

Making grants to pay for medical equipment, patient comforts and staff resources, or the provision of other assistance, to improve the care and treatment of patients of the Bristol Eye Hospital.

The aim of AXE District is to support and encourage the developement of Scouting in the District.

The Harbour provides a professional counselling and psychotherapy service to people affected by physical life-threatening illness. This includes adults who are ill themselves; carers and family members; and people recently bereaved due to illness. The therapy explores the impact of life-threatening illness and gives clients time to think about their fears and concerns.

Projects designed to improve aspiration, achievement and attainment in schools

Escapeline provides education programmes to children & young people, aged 10-18 years, raising awareness of child exploitation and grooming, teaching them what to look out for & protective strategies. We provide training to professionals in education, health, social care & police on child exploitation. We also offer parents awareness workshops, 1-1 parent support services and 2-1 youth work.

Weston-super-Mare foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. We provide emergency food parcels for people in need in our community and offer other support services to our clients.

The Charity engages in a range of activities, either on its own or with others, including the celebration of public worship, the teaching of the Christian faith, mission and evangelism, pastoral work, including visiting the sick and the bereaved, the provision of facilities with a Christian ethos for the local community and the support of other charities in the UK and overseas.

To manage and maintain the Long Ashton Community Centre and Recreation Ground, on behalf of the Parish Council, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Long Ashton.

To relieve poverty, distress and homelessness in Bristol, particularly by the provision of emergency night shelter accomodation.

The provision of regular public acts of worship. The teaching of Christianity. Pastoral work including visiting the sick and bereaved. The provision of a Fellowship Meeting, Parents and Toddler's Group, Girl's Brigade, Book Club, Craft Group and Film Club. We support a Counselling service by providing office and rooms and also visit Bristol Bus Station to provide support to the homeless.

To support the work and development of the Botanic Garden and to stimulate interest through a variety of events and activities. Income generated by such events, and also from membership subscriptions, is used to invest in new projects in the garden, make a major contribution to its upkeep and support horticultural education through the funding of trainees in the garden.

Move the Mind CIO (MtM) is a charity that supports children, young people and some young adults with learning difficulties using animals and horses in a therapeutic way. Move the mind have outstanding horses and other animals and are set in approximately 14 acres of beautiful Somerset farmland.

GORDANO VALLEY CHURCH PROVIDES A RANGE OF CHRISTIAN ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES AND HAS A SIGNIFICANT COMMUNITY PROFILE IN PORTISHEAD WHILST ALSO HAVING A WIDER WORLD-WIDE MISSION FOCUS.
