The Royal Air Forces Association is incorporated by Royal Charter and its objects are the promotion and welfare of those who are serving or have served in Her Majesty's Royal Air Force and the air forces of the Commonwealth and their dependants by the establishment and maintenance of an organisation for their benefit.

In 1914 the charity's founder Charles William Judson left a legacy in his will for the building of six almshouses in Ripon. The occupation is restricted to persons over 70 years with limited means. Residents must have lived within 5 miles of the City of Ripon for the ten years prior to appointment. The charity's aims are to maintain and improve the almshouses for the benefit of the residents.

Various clubs and societies of all ages meet, including AA, Athletics Club, Keep Fit, Reeth Brass Band, Reeth District Memorial Hall Management Committee, Open Minds, Reeth Parish Council, Reeth Show Committee, Seated Exercise, Swaledale Seedlings, Swale Singers, Two Dales 1st Responders and Young Farmers. It is a venue for live music, dances and drama for the benefit of the community.

The Cricket Asylum Foundation provides an inclusive opportunity for disadvantaged people to participate in the game of cricket to make a positive difference to the community. We have taster Sessions aimed at primary schools and youth groups, offer a scholarship programme and coach groups and individuals bespoke to the participants needs, we deliver where best suited for the recipient.

To provide clothing and ancillary assistance to needy children of families resident in the area covered by the former Scarborough Divisional Executive and normally attending publicly maintained schools in the said area.Such assistance shall terminate at the end of the year in which children attain their 18th birthday or when the familiy circumstances are deemed to no longer warrant assistance.

The charity is responsible for the maintainance and upkeep of Dunnington Reading Room which is the Village Hall for the village of Dunnington.

Thorpe Prebend acts as a Heritage Centre for the Cathedral and houses exhibits which unveil the Story of Ripon and the Cathedral over the centuries.Schools use the house for educational visits.Local organisations hold lectures in Thorpe Prebend on historic events.

Provides public live orchestral and choral/orchestral concerts employing a wide repertoire. Gives local amateur and semi-professional musicians the opportunity to play together. North East Yorkshire World Cup Legacy 2019 is a charity focused on providing cricket opportunities for deprived children in the Scarborough area. We run inclusive after-school and weekend sessions, offer meals in high-deprivation schools, and provide bursaries to remove financial barriers. Our qualified coaches ignite passion for cricket, linking young players to local clubs.

The trust says that the premises shall be for the purpose of physical and mental recreation and social, moral and intellectual development for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish of Austwick and its immediate vicinity. The charity serves the local community by maintaining the trust premises and equipment to provide both a meeting place and opportunities for diverse groups and activities.

Our charity was formed to run our local library and information centre. We are a community library and in addition to lending books, audio books and DVDs, we also provided computer and internet access. Our library is used as a venue for educational purposes by the LEA, and running courses and activities for all ages. We are self- funding.
