We organise various fundraising events to enable us to raise money to buy equipment and treats for primary school children.

The main purpose is to enable women to improve and develop their education, including the arts,crafts and sciences, advance their education in citizenship and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve and develop conditions of rural life.

THE PURCHASE OR HIRE OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR USE IN INVESTIGATING, TREATING OR ALLEVIATING THE SUFFERING OF ANY CANCER PATIENT IN THE NORTH HUMBERSIDE OR SCARBOROUGH REGION OR FOR PURPOSES OF RESEARCH LEADING TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF MEDICAL SCIENCE IN THE FIELD OF RADIOTHERAPY AND ONCOLOGY GENERALLY.

We record local weekly newspapers digitally each week for blind and partially sighted people. Every month we produce a Talking Magazine and periodically we record the local council info "Otley Matters". Our listeners either receive a USB stick by post or listen online. Our area covers Otley, Guiseley, Pool, Bramhope, Rawdon, Horsforth, Adel, Cookridge, Ilkley, Menston, Burley and Addingham.

A drop-in service primarily for people with a learning disability and/or physical disabilities in the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas of North Yorkshire. The drop-in provides meals and physical and recreational activities.

sOCIAL, FITNESS AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR VILLAGERS AND FRIENDS

Provision of sports and recreational facilities.

Formed in 1999 the organisation includes a senior band, junior and beginner groups, with 3 current members being at the first rehearsal. To encourage new players and as part of our development policy, workshops are carried out in local schools and 'Music Cafes' are held . Our aim is to keep brass banding alive in the 21st century. 2019 will see the band celebrate its 20th Anniversary.

The relief of the poor and needy anywhere in the world. Current activities are focused on helping1. the community of Ukerewe, an island near Mwanza, Tanzania.2. people suffering from Motor Neurone Disease;3. victims of the earthquakes in Nepal.4. Ukraine

Activities include Weekly Social Arts & Crafts Club, Warm Hub during winter, monthly Country Life Cluster group, Local History meetings as well as quarterly Country Crafts & Produce Fayres. Other social events include craft workshops, bingo and domino evenings as well as jumble sales The hall is hired for private parties, wedding receptions, funeral teas &by local groups

Fund raising and social activities for the church community and other charitable organisations

Killinghall PTA is a volunteer led parent teacher group that raises money for Killinghall C.E. Primary School located in Killinghall, Harrogate, North Yorkshire.The charity typically has a range of fundraising activities in a year including Disco's, Quiz Nights, Bingo Nights, Tuck Shops, selling used school uniform, Raffles etc.

Offer a meeting place and open space for people of all ages, denomination, creed or colour.

The Charity has adopted a policy of using its resources almost exclusively to fund rehabilitation for alcoholics and addicts who have (a) been assessed as suitable for rehabilitation and (b) for whom no funding is available from any other sources and (exceptionally) to fund life saving or life changing surgery where the NHS would not assist

The Upper Dales Community Land Trust recognises there is a critical shortage of affordable, sustainable housing for people born, living or working in the Upper Dales of North Yorkshire. With others, we are working to change this and to ensure our unique community, its history and legacy, lives on.
