Barnsley Brass is a traditional British brass band with a mining heritage based in Worsbrough Bridge near Barnsley. We operate predominantly in the Yorkshire area.We hold rehearsals twice a week, perform concerts and participate in competitions. All performances offer the general public the chance to advance their education in, and appreciation of, the art of music.

The object of the Company is to advance the education for the public benefit about Scarborough's maritime history through the development of the Scarborough Maritime Heritage Centre for the education and display of artefacts and archives. The Charity manages a sports field under a 98 year lease from the local Council together with land in its own ownership whereby it provides use of playing fields for recreational purposes for the inhabitants of Brompton and the surrounding neighborhood, facilities for sport recreation and leisure time for the purpose of relaxation. We also manage Weavers Pavilion.
