To provide affordable community transport to organisations and inhabitants of Thirsk, Sowerby and District. Particularly those in need, including the young, disabled and elderly.

For the benefit of the public/ local community we take in abandoned and unwanted dogs from the Yorkshire Coast Area, provide any necessary medical treatment and place them in kennels or foster homes until new homes are found.

A. To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all it's aspects by means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals.B. To further such other charitable purpose purposes as the choir in its absolute discretion shall think fit, but in particular through making grants and donations.

To advance the education of the public in the science of astronomy and allied sciences by the provision of a Planetarium and Observatory in Stockton on Tees

Community resource centre, education provider and non-residential conference and meeting venue.

Educational activities for older people based in the Selby area. These include monthly talks, peer learning through interest groups, social and exercise groups.

Offer facilities to the local community

Ryther Village Hall provides a venue for activities for the inhabitants of Ryther and the surrounding villages.Activities can range from childrens parties, birthday celebrations, classes for dancing etc, to table tennis, badminton, meetings, bingo, dances etc.The hall can be hired by individuals or organisations on a regular or one off basis.The committee also organises Village events.

Education

The object of the charity is to provide such benefits, of any kind not normally provided by the Local Education Authority, for Malton School, Malton, as agreed between the Charity's Governors and the Governors of the School, after consultation with the Local Authority. The income from the Endowment is available to be used in accordance with Clauses 15 and 16 of the Constitution.

OPERATES AND MAINTAINS VILLAGE HALL

We are a mixed choir of about 35 members aiming to help people enjoy singing and develop their musical talents through training, rehearsal and public performances. Our concerts are mainly to raise funds for local charities and good causes.

Weekly meetings both educational & social

Escrick HSA runs a range of activities and events which raise money to fund resources and activities identified by the school management which benefit the school's young people. The key events include raffles, discos, fetes, Mother and Father's Day gifts and a plant sale, all of which benefit the school's young people.

Assistance to the registered blind of the Whitby area.

The object of the charity is, in the interests of social welfare, to improve the conditions of the life of the inhabitants of the area, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by the provision of facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation.(The area of benefit is the Parish of Thirlby, and the area within one mile of Thirlby Village Hall)

The upkeep and administration of Buckden Village Hall such that it is available to residents of Buckden Parish for recreational, social and cultural activities.

Provides a room for meetings and other village activities.

Educational & social activities aimed at those persons 50 years and over. Classes and courses run by, taught by and financed by the members of Ryedale University of the Third Age. It is a self help organisation promoting continuing learning for the retired, although there is no age limit for membership.
