We raise money through our network of alumni to support current pupils and facilities at Ermysted's Grammar School in Skipton.

To fundraise to provide extra support to school via sponsored events,donations,commission through boolk fairs,uniform sales etc.

Provision of facilities for village organisations and general public

The objects of the Association shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Scruton and the neighbourhood by providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Provision of community facilities in the Village Hall for the people of Ruswarp and surrounding area

Upper Wharfedale Swimming Club is based at Upper Wharfedale Secondary School in Threshfield near Skipton, North Yorkshrie. We provide swimming sessions for our members and swimming lessons for the junior members. We try to keep our subscription fee to a minimum to allow access for everyone within the area. Our swimming instructors and everyone who helps with the club are volunteers.

We provide 3 or 4 school disco's per year and a summer and xmas fair. This money raised is put forward to our committee on what the money should be spent on for the children, within our school.

RUN TRAINING WEEKENDS AND BI-MONTHLY GATHERINGS TO ENGENDER ENCOURAGEMENT WITHIN THE ANGLICAN CHURCH IN YORK DIOCESE.

Management of Village Hall and Sports field including tennis court for use by residents of Faceby in accordance with Trust Document. Organise functions both social and instructive and let facilities for similar uses organised by residents and others.

The provision of grants for the furtherance of the education of people resident or educated in the parishes of Easingwold or Husthwaite North Yorkshire.

An annual competitive festival of music and the Spoken Word to encourage higher standards especially among the children of Whitby and the surrounding area. A Choir Day is held in April when adult choirs from many parts of the UK come to sing together and be judged by professional adjudicators.The Festival was originally known as "The Eskdale Tournament of Song" and was founded in 1902.

Makes grants to local people upto the age of 25 who go on to further education. Makes grants to 2 local C of E Schools. Maintains a property owned by the charity and sublet to a tenant.

1. ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC IN ALL ASPECTS OF MUSIC IN THE BARBERSHOP STYLE OF UNACCOMPANIED FOUR PART CLOSE HARMONY, IN BOTH CHORUS AND QUARTET. 2. FURTHER ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSE RECOGNISED AS EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW IN ENGLAND AND WALES.

The Memorial Hall is the centre of village activities and is used by a variety of groups including an over 50's Activity session,several exercise classes,children's parties. The hall has its own country dancing group as well as dog training and Weight Watchers meetings.

This centre consists of a large hall, small hall, kitchen, toilets and entrance hall. It has disability access, baby changing facilities and off street parking. The centre is available for hire and holds regular activities that cater for all age groups. The Charity is also responsible for the grounds surrounding the centre.

The charity supports the provision of education at Lothersdale Primary School, providing financial assistance towards the ongoing activities of the school and contributes towards the on-going development of resources and facilities.

Raise funds for school activities

Over the year we have raised the profile of world music, in both the rural areas of North and South Craven (Skipton and Settle) as well as the urban conurbations of Leeds and Bradford, through concerts in Settle Victoria Hall, The Delius Centre in Bradford and Seven arts in Leeds, as well as playing at Village Fetes and Community Centres.

The charity provide funds for current pupils so they can have swimming tuition.Starter and leaver bibles are provided for the pupils.Educational grants to former students to help them with further studies.If students are unable to afford residential trips then the trustees will aid with this.

The orchestra consisting of mostly amateur players provides concerts to the general public and gives young local soloists opportunities to perform in front of an audience. Members include students as well as players in full time employment and is open to new members in the region who can play a classical instrument with an interest in classical music.

The Charity organises an annual music festival, comprising a week of performances in music, most of which are competitive with trophies or medals being awarded. The competitors are both children and adults from the local area and further afield and every performance is in front of an audience and commented on by a professional adjudicator.
