BAMS seeks to promote knowledge and love of music by promoting a series of high quality concerts in Bishop Auckland. The concerts are widely advertised and are open to the general public.

We play at public and private events throughout the year, locally and further afield. These include concerts; outdoor performances in summer, village & school fairs, fetes & garden parties; weddings; church & other Christmas events; charitable fundraising; and official occasions. We recruit and train young and adult players.

THE FUND MAY UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES WHICH PROMOTE THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE SCHOOL AND FURTHER THE EDUCATION AND ADVANCEMENT IN LIFE OF THE PUPILS.

The governing instruments provide for the application of the income of the Charity in providing pensions to persons unable to maintain themselves in the area of the former Teesdale Poor Law Union and also Caldwell, Eppleby, Melsonby, Middleton Tyas, Barton, Reeth and upper part of Swaledale.
