NLHA provides financial and other support to groups and individuals; holds local history conferences; publishes a magazine "The Nottinghamshire Historian"; distributes monthly newsletter; works closely with local organisations (libraries, archives, local studies departments) to promote and support local history.

To raise money to provide equipment and activities needed by the school

Monthly support group meetings running every first Friday and third Thursday. Family fun days.

Provide grants to people who live in and community organisations based in theBulwick village parish. Grants have included, but are not limited to annual payments to any household where there is someone living there who is eligible for UK state pension. Examples of other grants include for funeral expenses and hospital travel expenses and grants to local community organisations.

Various fund raising activites including jumble sales, Christmas Fayre, May Day Fete, games evenings, bingo evenings, craft mornings to raise money for items which cannot be afforded from the school budget.Also social evenings for parents and staff to get to know each other.

We manage and maintain a village playing field; approx. 2 acres mainly laid to grass, used for ball games and other outdoor activities. Some play equipment, seating, trees and shrubs etc.

Distributes cash at Christmas to person of pensionable age.

Hold half-yearly meetings to approve grants to needy members of the public
