The Society runs a programme of talks, walks and other events relating to local history in general and to the history of Long Buckby in particular. It also carries out research on aspects of village history. The third area of activity is the collection of photographs, documents and artefacts relating to the village past and present and to this end it maintains a small museum for its collection.

Fund Raising by holding events involving parents, children and local people. Money raised goes to benefit the children's education by providing material items and experiences.

1. Provide grants for young people from the parish of West Haddon undertaking courses of higher education or their equivalent.2. School PTA

Considers and gives grants to local people/organisations.

To advance the education and wellbeing of the pupils at the Cavendish School by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities not required to be provided by the local education authority at the school.Our main activity in this area has been to seek donations from local business and groups towards funding work in the school.

FUNDRAISING TO SUPPORT STUDENTS AT CHENDERIT SCHOOL

The activities of the charity are directed towards raising funds for the restoration, preservation, repair, maintenance, improvement and beautification of the Parish Church of St Edmund, King & Martyr, Hardingstone.

Events held in the school grounds and in the community areas to raise funds to provide additional equipment and resources to benefit all of the children.

Raising money to enhance the learning opportunities for pupils at Boddington Primary School.

The Charity raises funds by means of fund raising events and annual Christmas street and door to door collections which are undertaken on its behalf by the members of Market Harborough Round Table. The funds are raised in Market Harborough and District and the Trustees invite applications for financial support from local individuals, charities and other not for profit organisations.
