The charity's objects are the maintenance, extension and improvement of public amenities within the parish of Yardley Hastings in Northamptonshire. These objects are mainly achieved by making grants to relevant organisations.

The principal activity of the charity was to rescue and provide shelter for stray, neglected, injured, unwanted and abandoned animals and find suitable homes, to make provision for the spaying or neutering of animals, and to advance the education of the public in animal ownership and care.

The U3A provides opportunites for its members to socialise, learn new skills, visit new places and enjoy recreation. We try to arrange interesting and stimulating speakers. Greens Norton Village Hall was sold by the charity in 2021 as it was no longer viable to continue with operating as a venue for hire. It has taken some time to move forward as to the future of the charity, but it has now been agreed in April of 2023 that the charity can move forward as a funding body with a change to its purpose and a revised trust deed confirmed.

We fundraise for our primary Academy primarily through school events and on school property. Fundraising events typically include Fairs, Cake sales and breakfast on the go

Our charity activities continue to be fundraising to improve the students facilities, plus the social aspect of a school community, engaging students, parents, grandparents, friends and family. Our summary of achievements were holding events such as regular disco evenings, film nights, Christmas parties and for the past two years a travelling circus inviting the local community.

Fundraising in order to provide additional amenities for Children of Little Houghton Primary School.

Farthinghoe School Ties is a parent/teacher group which raises money for the school to use for its children. This includes funding school trips and any extra equipment the teachers feel would benefit the education and welfare of the children. Activities can include school fetes, halloween parties, bingo nights and quiz nights for example.
