We will rescue abandoned, lost and unwanted ferrets from within Sunderland and South Tyneside.We will rehabilitate and care for these ferrets until they are able to be rehomed.We will carry out activities to find new homes for the ferrets in rescue and provide backup support for thelifetime of the ferret.We will promote neutering of pet ferrets to reduce the number of unwanted litters.

The organisation of chamber music festivals and master classes in Corbridge, in the county of Northumberland.

We give grants to adults taking part-time education courses in the arts and humanities in the North-East of England. Grants can be for fees, transport, books and materials, or other expenses such as child care.

The Charity operates the Berwick Visitor Centre in Walkergate Berwick-upon-Tweed for the benefit of locals and visitors alike. The Visitor Centre, through its audio visual presentations and permanent and temporary exhibits, educates and informs locals, visitors and school pupils of the history of Berwick and its current facilities.

The Management Committee of the Vyner Park Charity will manage and develop the amenity and recreational value of the land and fixed assets within Vyner Park, Swarland, Northumberland in consultation with the wider local community and key users groups. It will balance the needs of individual user groups.

The fund assists serving and retired officers and their partners in times of need. As well as providing financial support by way of grants or interest free loans to those suffering hardship, we also cover out-of-pocket expenses incurred in using convalescent homes which provide a range of therapies to assist in the rehabilitation of officers.

The society organises a programme of lectures, field trips and fieldwork. It publishes Durham Archaeological Journal and a series of research reports, and promotes the protection and appreciation of the historic environment.

The support of maritime heritage including conservation, restoration and construction when appropriate.

We work with families to provide a variety of services with a response to need and solution focussed approach. This work includes tackling issues such as poverty, unemployment, parenting, anti-social behaviour, social isolation and ill health. We support all generations by providing drop ins, one to one support, accredited programmes, courses and through referrals to external agencies.

NCBF is an annual regional event held each November to promote the love of reading and books to children, parents/carers and teachers by facilitating author visits to schools,libraries and other regional venues.

The principle activity of the charity is the operation of a church in Hexham, Northumberland, under the name "the Point".There are services of Christian worship with children's activities and the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ. Recently the church has been working less privileged children, providing Christian assemblies in local schools, supporting Christian youth work in Hexham.

The task of the Northumbria Deaf Mission is to be the primary instrument of the Church of England in the Diocese of Durham and Newcastle in meeting the spiritual needs and pastoral care of deaf and hard of hearing people.

Support of Scouting activities in Blyth Valley, Northumberland to enhance young people from age 6 to 25 yrs in their mental, physical and spiritual development.

The charity leases and maintains Horsley village, arranges events to support the village and the village hall. Oversees bookings for the hall.

We also have 2 large halls and a kitchen which are rented out for children's parties, discos, over 50's lunches.

To provide transport facilities in the North East for people who have special need of such facilities because they are elderly,poor or disables, people with young chinldren or those liviv-ng in isolated areas where there are no adequite public transport facilities.
