The aim of the Group and of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The principle activity of the charity is the operation of a church in Hexham, Northumberland, under the name "the Point".There are services of Christian worship with children's activities and the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ. Recently the church has been working less privileged children, providing Christian assemblies in local schools, supporting Christian youth work in Hexham.

The relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

Northern Chords Festival advances education by promoting and providing opportunities for the appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of the art of music in particular by the provision of a regular festival, public concerts, lectures, tuition and youth engagement programmes.

Advancement of visual arts, music, written and spoken word for the benefit of the public in Wooler and the surrounding area of Glendale, Northumberland, by organising and presenting public events including concerts, performances, exhibitions, classes and creative workshops to enable local people to experience and encounter different art forms and to participate in new forms of artistic expression.

We provide free English classes ( ESOL) for Speakers of other languages, both online and at our Newcastle upon Tyne class base for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and migrants, including a growing cohort of unaccompanied asylum seeking young people. English language tuition will help our students to both advance in life and enable them to adapt within a new community.

We present, each year, a series of chamber music concerts given by artists of international reputation.

The prevention or relief of poverty people in Blyth and the surrounding area by providing food, essential household items and toiletries to individuals in financial need. To promote social inclusion by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.

Christian Church - activities include - Sunday service, regular prayer meetings. Small ex coffee shop now run as a warm space owned and operated by the church in the centre of Ashington
