TO PROVIDE AN ARTS SERVICE IN THE NORTH EAST OF ENGLAND PRIMARILY THROUGH THE OPERATION OF THE QUEEN'S HALL ARTS CENTRE IN HEXHAM. To provide free and confidential information, advice, counselling and support services for young people, between the ages of 11 and 25.

We are a specialist provider supporting Carers and their families. Our objects are to relieve the stresses experienced by Carers and their beneficiaries. We improve the lives of Carers and Young Carers and enable Carers to continue to care.

WATBus has been established since 1998 and continues to provide minibus transport to community groups & individuals within Northumberland and throughout the North East of England. WATBike, our other organisation focuses on getting adults back onto bikes for their own health & wellbeing. Both parts of our charity, WATBus & WATBus work together to benefit people who use our service.

GUST provides education and training to young people with learning/social difficulties who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education, working with students to improve their academic, social, moral and personal development to enhance their ?life chances? within the local and wider communities with a view towards gaining future employment.

We provide support to children diagnosed with cancer, and their families, who are being treated at the Great North Children's Hospital. We fund research to find more effective, individualised treatments for childhood cancer.

Newcastle Law Centre was established in 1978 to promote access to legal justice and promote social justice and serve the needs of traditionally oppressed groups and those whose access to the legal system is restricted. The Law Centre seeks to achieve this by employing a variety of methods of work, including individual casework and advice work, training , and provision of meeting place facilities.

To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the playing of cricket and other sports capable of improving health. Programmes are delivered along 5 activity pillars of health, education, social cohesion, cross roots sports and club development.

Heel & Toe Children's Charity provides therapy to children with Cerebral Palsy and other physical disabilities. Our highly experienced therapy service can provide assessments, block treatments or regular 1.1 sessions. Specific aims and outcomes will be discussed during assessment and goals set.

The provision of grants to fund research into rheumatology, cancer and the relief of arthritis. The provision of equipment or grants for equipment and / or caring services to assist with the relief of sickness caused by rheumatological problems, arthritis and / or cancer, such equipment or grants for equipment and / or caring services not normally being provided by the Local Health Authority.

Cornerstone Supported Housing and Counselling is a homeless organisation and training centre. The charity provides emergency housing and semi-supported housing in County Durham. It runs a joinery workshop that builds a strong community resource where service users and the public can improve skills, employment prospects and self confidence while working towards a positive community relationship.

Our roles and activities include:The provision of advice, information, training, encouragement and other forms of support to community groups and voluntary organisations. Encouraging networking, co-operation and mutual support between voluntary and community organisations. Ensuring that the needs and opinions of communities and voluntary organisations are understood by decision-makers.

The Trust supports ex-offenders in North East England, by sourcing paid employment and training opportunities in the construction and hospitality industries

1) To provide a community transport service for the inhabitants of the UK with an emphasis on North East of England and the Borders Region who are in need of such a service due to age,disability (mental or physical), poverty, or because of a lack of availability of adequate and safe public passenger services.2) Provide and promote services for and with people with disabilities3) Training

Maintenance and development of garden and wild source arboretum at Howick, together with the surrounding countryside, all in an AONB. Conservation of environment including 1 1/2 miles of coastline in a SSSI. Nature education programme for children with local schools.

Gateway into the Community enables people with learning disabilities to take part in a broad programme of leisure and learning opportunities. The safe environment within our own 'groups' prepares our members to participate in mainstream activities in their wider communities. We work to ensure that the inclusion of people who have a learning disability is enjoyable and beneficial for everyone.
