DACA's prime function is the Management Committee of The Northbourne Centre, Didcot and recreational and artistic activities.

Arrangement of cultural activities - visits to shows (musicals, drama, opera, ballet, etc) or outings to places of interest. Functions may be arranged such as a jazz night, a topical quiz, book sale, etc. A monthly magazine circulated to all members and contains details of our shows & events & diary note of all other local functions notified to us by any other local 'not for profit' groups.

The main activity of the Hook Norton Brass Band is to maintain, improve and advance the education of the public through the promotion of the practice and performance of brass band music.The band has also started a training brass band, in order to provide a playing opportunity for individuals of all ages who are not yet at a standard to play in the main band.

The charity raises money by a variety of means in pursuit of the objects above. We undertake a programme of events in order to raise funds and encourage members of the local community to support us by making donations.

Combe Hub's activity is the provision and maintenance of the Combe Methodist Chapel as a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Combe and its surrounding area in Oxfordshire including use for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation and leisure time activities. Combe Pre-School and After School Club operate from the chapel during term time.
