THE OBJECT OF THE ASSOCIATION (THE OBJECTS) IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY: 1) DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STAFF, PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL. 2) ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Mainstone and the neighbourhood and toestablish and maintain a Community centre for their use.

The charity continues to support musical organisations and the arts in England, especially performances by young artists, education and welfare organisations in the UK and abroad, and a small number of other charitable organisations.

Volunteers from local churches working together to run youth work activities that provide opportunities for young people to explore the Christian faith and thrive in all areas of life.

Various fund raising events e.g. Summer / Xmas Fairs, Discos, Cake Stalls, Treasure Hunts, School lottery etc

Donations to deserving causes at the discretion of the Lord Mayor of Plymouth in accordance with bequests made in 1921, 1929 and 1943

We are a volunteer run group with 60+ youths aging between 5 3/4 & 18, many of which are from one parent families. Many suffer from physical ailments, learning & behavioural issues.We fundraise so these children can be included in the activities scouting offers - camping, abseiling, residentials etc which helps to build confidence, self esteem & respect for themselves and others.

WE WORK IN PARTNERSHIP WITH DEVON & SOMERSET FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE / LOCAL COMMUNITES ON COMMUNITY SAFETY. OUR WORK INCLUDES, FIRE PREVENTION, ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR E.G FIRESETTING, COMMUNITY RESILIENCE AND SAFE DRIVING. WE PROVIDE ADVICE AND EXPERTISE, MAKE GRANTS TO LOCAL GROUPS IN NEED, RAISE FUNDING, ASSIST OTHER GROUPS TO RAISE FUNDING AND HELP TRAIN AND EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE AND OTHERS.

As a Member Society of the The Arts Society, the Society shall have as the objects the promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education of the public, the cultivation, appreciation and study of the decorative and fine arts, and the giving of aid to the preservation of our national artistic heritage for the benefit of the public.

To promote for the public benefit the restoration and maintenance of Ford Park Cemetery, Plymouth as a public amenity and to advance the education of the public in the cemetery, its heritage and its social and natural history.

The object of the PDLF is to relieve sickness amongst persons living in Plymouth and the surrounding district suffering from leukemia and related disorders by the provision of equipment and facilities, and the promotion of research into these disorders.
