ARRANGING FUNDRAISING EVENTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR ADDITIONAL SCHOOL EQUIPMENT AND DONATIONS TO LOCAL CHARITIES

Woodley & District u3a provides mutual learning, education and social activities for the retired and semi-retired in Woodley (Berkshire) and the surrounding area.

We hold social events such as an International Evening, Quiz Night, and Christmas and Summer Fairs on the school grounds in order to raise funds and to bring parents, teachers, pupils and the community together. Funds raised are spent on improving facilities or providing culturally and educationally enriching opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to afford.

This is a primary school PTA (parents/teachers association) running events to promote community spirit and to raise funds to provide equipment and experiences that enhance school life, consistent with the school's ethos that children should "live life in all its fullness".

Letting the hall at a reasonable rate, maintaining the Hall and two cottages in good repair and insuring the Hall and cottages against loss or damage by fire.

The relief of the poor and those in need by reason of youth, age,ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage or such other charitable purposes as the Rotary Club of Wokingham (The Club) shall in duly constituted meetings from time to time direct.

We operate an art gallery to advance the arts for the public benefit through the promotion of contemporary art, especially visual art. Our activities enable public education in the understanding, appreciation, production and practice of contemporary art.We also provide studio and workshop facilities and advice for contemporary artists who cannot afford to rent space at market rates.

Open rehearsals of choral music for all ages and abilities, culminating in public performances; together with encouragement of appreciating variety of music for wide spectrum of singers and audiences in area; including work with youth, elderly and unwell and assistance with Singing for the Brain charity.

We are a traditional village brass band. We aim to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education and appreciation of traditional and new brass band music. We perform publicly at fetes, concerts, in churches, public houses and functions. We provide opportunities for musicians to meet, borrow instruments and receive professional training and we encourage composers and arrangers by rehearsi

ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE AREA OF BERKS/HANTS/SURREY BORDER IN TRADITIONAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING BY; PRESERVING AND FURTHERING THE PRACTICE OF TRADITIONAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCES; PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN PROVIDING INSTRUCTION IN THE DANCING OF SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCES; PROMOTING THE ENJOYMENT AND APPRECIATION OF SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING AND MUSIC BY OTHER SUITABLE MEANS.

Weekly rehearsals of choral singing through most of each year. Public performances of a wide range of choral works in the East Berkshire, Northwest Surrey and Northeast Hampshire area. Typically about 4 or 5 perfomances are given each year.

Promotion of Choral singing in the area of NE Hants and Surrey/Berks borders

Thanks to donations recieved the current project of starting a school for orphaned and needy children in Okara Pakistan is under way and is being increased with additional children and teachers

Most weekends the charity attends car boot sales. The charity runs its own car boot sales every month in Reading, Berkshire. The charity receives, on average, over 5,000 calls from grieving parents each year.

ENRYCH BERKSHIRE AIMS TO GIVE PEOPLE WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURSUE A LEISURE, LEARNING OR SPORTING ACTIVITY OF THEIR OWN CHOICE, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH A VOLUNTEER.

We promote the treatment and care of persons suffering from oesophageal or stomach cancer and to provide support to those caring for such persons or who are affected by oesophageal or stomach cancer amongst their families or friends.

Regatta for the Disabled is an annual event, usually held towards the end of the Summer in Henley on Thames. It exists to provide boating opportunities for disabled people, regardless of their level of ability and to raise the profile of disabled people accessing the river.

Raises money by running events organised by the staff and families at the school. All proceeds are used to further the education and improve the environment of St Martin's Catholic Primary School
