New Horizons Trust provide domicilliary home care services to the elderly and disabled in South Yorkshire.

WE ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN IN OUR SCHOOL. WE DEVELOP MORE EXTENDED RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF AND PARENTS, AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL. WE ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS ATTENDING IT. WE PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF SUCH FACILITIES OF ITEMS FOR EDUCATION NOT PROVIDED AT THE SCHOOL.

PROMOTION OF ATHLETICS TO SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN IN THE COUNTY OF SOUTH YORKSHIRE.

TO ADVANCE THE ISLAMIC RELIGION IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS, PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON ISLAM TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE ISLAMIC RELIGION.2. FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO PROMOTE LEARNING FOR PLEASURE BY PEOPLE NO LONGER IN FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT THROUGH THE CONTINUED

PROVIDING A CATERED TEA AND SOCIAL EVENT EVERY TWO WEEKS AND ADDED ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Support and encourage local clubs, fund raise to subsidise local events and maintain the village hall, organise local events.

We act as a support group to Sheffield Music Hub, providing practical and financial assistance aimed at increasing and improving opportunities for young people in and around Sheffield to learn music and participate in ensembles. This includes provision of bursaries, purchase of music, help with publicity and general support for all the Hub's activities.

The charity awards scholarships tenable at a university or other education establishment in the UK to a) Kindred of William Akroyd who died in or about 1518 and b) Persons who have attended secondary school in the County of York. It also makes grants to Batley Grammar School Foundation and the Council of the University of Leeds.

Land is maintained as a recreation ground and contains football pitches which are used for Adult & Junior football, a bowling green and multi-use-games-area.

The charity exists to provide help, mainly financial to the people in Romania, relieve people living in poverty, helping organisations to get street children off the streets, the elderly - providing accommodation and meals etc. particulary in winter), helping families who are in need.

The Society studies and reports on the archaeology, history and architecture of South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. A series of lectures is held. Visits are made to sites of interest. Members give lectures to other groups and attend at open days and similar events. Transactions are published usually every two years and contain articles or local and wider interest.

The Community Partnership is quite busy and still woring towards improving the quality of life in our community. The Partnership support local groups who use our community hall and we use it for our quarterly open meetings that give a platform for all local groups along with training and events. We hold a very well attended town gala annually which is always a great success.

AIMS & OBJECTIVESTO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OF BRASS BAND MUSIC MAKING AND TO FURTHER THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC APPRECIATION IN THE SAID ART BY THE PRESENTATION OF CONCERTS, MUSIC FESTIVALS AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES AND TO ENCOURAGE THE MUSICAL EDUCATION OF PLAYERS OF ALL AGES BY THE PROVISION OF TUITION AND TRAINING FACILITIES

To promote urban regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation in Sheffield and the surrounding area assisting in the preservation of buildings or sites of historic or architectural importance, and in protecting the built environment. In particular Portland Works (a Grade 2* listed building).

The Charity has adopted a policy of using its resources almost exclusively to fund rehabilitation for alcoholics and addicts who have (a) been assessed as suitable for rehabilitation and (b) for whom no funding is available from any other sources and (exceptionally) to fund life saving or life changing surgery where the NHS would not assist

The Sorby Natural History Society is the Natural History society for the Sheffield City region, providing education, research and publications, including biological and geological recording of wildlife, habitats, rocks and landscapes. Operates mostly in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and the Peak District.

Anglican Cursillo is a movement of the Church providing a method by which Christians are empowered to grow through prayer, study and action and enabled to share Gods love with everyone. We operate throughout the Diocese of Sheffield.

To establish an Islamic Educational Centre; To cater for the religious, cultural, social and educational needs of Rotherham's Arabic speaking communities, primarily but not exclusively; To promote better community relations for the wider benefit of society; To work towards the relief of poverty; to undertake fundraising activities to enable the charity to achieve its aims and objectives.

The object of the charity is to relieve either generally or individually persons in conditions of need hardship or distress in the area of Brampton Bierlow

The project began in 2004 with the buying of land and working with local people to draw up plans to build a properly resourced and equipped school to replace a half finished room where young girls were being ?educated? with no furniture, nor resources or equipment sitting on an earth floor.
